A place to relax and enjoy the mild winter weather. The rooms are individual casitas with back yards. We spent the weekend relaxing wihout ever leaving the ranch. All the food was included, we played picth and putt golf and learned lawn bowling (what a unique experience) and had a great hike around the property photographing wildlife and cactus. Very... More

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at STR. The ranch is a unique and very private getaway spot - just minutes from the airport but you feel a million miles away from the rest of the world once you enter the gates. The rooms do not seem to be very fancy or upscale at all - they are... More

Wonderful Wedding Weekend!!! Our daughter and her now husband choose this location. Wanted guests to make a weekend out of it and they did!!! Could not have been more attentive and helpful in the entire process! Beautiful grounds, quiet, private, great food, looking for an excuse to return.....

Smoke Tree Ranch is NOT your typical destination/hotel. It is a private ranch property with only 6 months of availability for non-residents to stay. If you are lucky enough to be allowed on property, it is quiet, rustic and removed from the "outside" world. Do not expect fancy accommodations for the price. It's simple and very comfortable. The food is... More

I have tried making a reservation now for over a week for a business function which is being hosted there so I have no choice but to stay here. I finally got a live person to pick up the phone and politely asked them to transfer me to an extension given to me and this guy was a total jerk... More

The Smoke Tree Ranch is truly a magical place. It's one of those unique settings where you're right in downtown Palm Springs, but once you get beyond the gates you would never know it. In short, its like a luxury camp for adults. The setting is beautiful, with epic views everywhere you look. The staff is great and the service... More

First off, this is not your typical Hotel, but a Dude Ranch, with a lot of interesting history. There are only 2 ways one can enter the property - you are a guest or owner. Once you enter, you have no idea you are minutes from civilization. It's fabulous for a quiet getaway! The food was unbelievably fabulous and the... More

Smoke Tree Ranch was the second home for Walt Disney prior to his death. There are private homes here and there are rental cottages. Some have been updated and then there are classic units that have not been. The Ranch House is where you check in and where the main dining room is. The grounds include a swimming pool, bowling... This property was once a top-notch guest ranch. These days the stables are not connected to the "ranch" but they are not too far away if you want to ride horses. The cottage accommodations are fine during the day, but we had a new cockroach every night! Not the small kind, but the HUGE, as big as your thumb kind.... More

We were looking for a nice, quite and peacefull hotel for our 4 children family in Palm Springs. The Smoke Tree Ranch was the perfect pick for us. This is a beautifull place, refined, full of history with very nice accomodations. The restaurant is great for families with a very nice buffet and plats du jours. If you do not... More
