Whether things were really so great in the 50s and 60s is irrelevant, here at the Orbit In you get to experience the elusive myth that is the American Dream. Jinny and Kevin have created the perfect little getaway that encapsulates everything we love about mid-century America: the simple and elegant architecture, the tasteful and cozy furniture, the warm and... Unbelievable thought has gone into this superb Inn. Every possible convenience is here at an all inclusive price. From the moment you arrive and are greeted by actor host Bill, until the moment you walk out the gate, you are in never never land. Happy hour after five...do not miss the Orbit tea, mixed for you by Charming Ana. Rooms... More

Being a mid-century architectural and decor fans my husband and I were in 7th heaven at the Orbit In. Every detail is well thought out. We were lucky to meet the owners: Jenny and Kevin who made us feel right at home. Every room has a private patio and it´s well equipped with robes, mini-fridges, coffee maker, ice bucket, plates,... Bill & Elaine make this place a haven in Palm Springs! The pool is perfect for the summer - chilled, floaties and a stocked refrigerator to keep you refreshed all day. We stayed in the Atomic room. Loved the living space and the kitchenette. We'd move in if we could. Don't miss the Orbitini hour. Bring your vinyl, drink fixings... More

Perfect, wished we could have stayed more than one night in the Twin Palms room. Lovely staff, wonderful Elaine, reasonably priced considering aesthetic, quality, amenities, and complimentary drinks, breakfast and cocktail hour, even LPs. We will never stay anywhere else in PS or be able to swim in a regular - not salt water - pool again. I can't say... More

Just got back from Orbit In. Booked it based on TA reviews. Was even better then I thought. Stayed in the ChaCha room with it's own little patio. Very cute and comfy. Mini frig, coffee in room, glasses, plates, wine opener, safe, robes and a record player. You can borrow records from the front office along with books and DVD's.... More

Travelling alone, I picked the Orbit In after doing web research. I was not disappointed, the manager hosts Bill and Elaine are so friendly and go the extra mile - so happy to answer any questions I had about the area - as I was visiting Palm Springs first time. The location is perfect, so close to the main streets... More

Perfect spot for couples wanting peace and quiet. Beautifully presented and a real oasis within walking distance to town. The breakfast is lovely and the hosts and other guests are always charming. Cant wait to go back. If you want to make lots of noise an party please go somewhere else!!

The Orbit In remains the perfect spot for a quiet restful getaway in the desert. Perfectly nestled close to the mountains yet only a short stroll from the center of Palm Springs, the Orbit In is a perfect example of mid-century modernism. The owners Jinny & Kevin are wonderful hosts, the rooms are nicely furnished and very comfortable and clean.... More

As a mid century aficionado, this boutique inn worked for us on so many levels. It's quietly tucked away from the Main Street yet walkable to all the shops, restaurants and humanity. It's intimate with a small number of rooms surrounding the pool. It's an original mid century inn appointed with many original furnitures throughout. We had a rat pack... More
