I stayed in here in low season (mid-July) with a large group; we booked the entire hotel for a weekend event. That sort of circumstance might necessarily change one's experience but I can't imagine anyone, knowing Palm Springs for the mid-century thowback it pretends to be, would be disappointed here. First the basics: Located in Palm Springs about a mile... More

Skylark is a hidden gem in Palm Springs. Rooms are really spacious, bed really comfortable and the staff will do pretty much anything to make you feel welcome. Continental breakfast is offered as a courtesy. And the pool and the jacuzzi are open 24h. A great place to stay!

Cool ,restored Mid Century hotel. We stayed here while we enjoyed some Modernism Week festivities. Great location. We really enjoyed the pool and sauna. Recommend a top floor room so you can enjoy the mountains.

Nothing about this out of the way, roadside place has anything to recommend it. You might as well be on the Jersey Turnpike with palm trees. Try many other places that are more exotic and have pride of place and feel that you're really away. Vince NYC10003

My wife and I were staying at a 'premier' hotel in downtown Palm Springs, but had to switch properties mid-stay. I scoured about and found the Skylark Hotel...uptown aways, but still close by car to the downtown activities. We arrived with low occupancy. The attention to detail by Ron, Gordon and Norma to name but a few was exceptional. As... More

I was just in Palm Springs for a festival, and happy to see the desert is booming! Lots of new projects underway, people on the streets, and glorious sun overhead. I found Skylark because I wanted to be within walking distance of downtown, and my usual places were booked or had sky-high weekend rates. Easy check in, free parking, updated... More

The Skylark Hotel is a beautifully restored 50s motel, flawlessly refurbished with a very hip, retro feel. Your experience will depend on how you feel about staying in a 1950s motel. The bathroom is small, with a shower stall. There is no vanity, so nowhere to put your shaving kit. The room air conditioner seems to run all the time,... More

Five friends and I stayed at the Skylark for 3 nights beginning February 14, 2014. We all are over 60, most of us retired college administrators, which is how we met several years ago as colleagues at a California community college. There are 7 of us (+ 3 spouses) who now live in 3 states and meet somewhere every few... More

Found this hotel on Expedia by chance. The Skylark makes you feel like you are staying at a friends house. Staff is wonderful and anything you need they find it for you. Only thing I would advise if you stay here is to request a room on the second floor since you do hear people above you.Would stay here again... More
