Living in Los Angeles, the Parker is my favorite place to get away on the weekends. The grounds and decor are bar none. It feels like a little private oasis in the desert. It can be a little expensive, but thanks to the magic of Starwood I often get to go for the weekend and use my points. It will... More

This was our second time staying at The Parker. The first time we didn't spend enough time there to really appreciate this uniquely beautiful property. This time we really enjoyed this beautiful place. The Parker is unlike any other hotel we have been too. It has a very retro style. The decor is very funky and kitchy. One of the... More

We stayed at the Parker for two nights in interconnecting rooms for a special price deal from trip advisor of $199 per room per night. The booking process was excellent. The rooms were huge and previous reports about the shower amenities correct. Very nice products! I must admit that I would never want to stay in that particular room again... More

Just checked into The Parker today, and not too impressed so far. Room was not ready, as we were early, so headed straight for the pool. The service from the Lemonade Stand was rude, and quite slow. It felt like they were doing you a huge favour by doing their job. The overall feel of the hotel is it is... More

Parker is out of a magical story book. It's my Grand Budapest. The service is impeccable, relaxed. Everything's easy. Walking around at all hours with alcohol, food, in a hoodie or coat and tie - whatever you're in the mood for, this place accommodates. It's that elusive resort that makes you, the customer, feel front and center (and yet surprisingly... More

Stayed here for a few nights over the xmas/new years holidays with my spouse. For reference, I've stayed at the Westin Mission Hills as well, and for this trip we were between staying with SPG and using this hotel or trying the Ritz Rancho Mirage. I decided to use some points when I saw some poor reviews for the Ritz,... More

There's a real difference between 'faded glamour' and 'shabby'. Unfortunately this hotel falls into the latter. After our first night we had to be moved to a new room (from 55 South to 71 South) due to the levels of noise at all hours coming from reception. In all fairness the staff on reception moved us without question as it's... More

I've been a frequent guest to the Parker in spite of its inconsistent and sometimes plain shoddy service because I find the property charming even in its imperfections. Or did. No more. I spent Christmas in the desert with the family this year and the cons at the Parker surpassed themselves. 1) smelly room; 2) room service forgot ordered items;... More

Spent one night here with our family of 5. Had two rooms, one a suite (Noah) which was terrific. Staff was great, very friendly. Food/libations all above average. Was cold...frost on grass... But still able to play tennis (clay courts) and swim...gardens lovely, could be in Marrakech. Only regret is we didn't have another night. Easy drive (45 min) to... More

Dear HClowd, Joshua Tree National Park is an easy and worth while trip while visiting the desert. Great choice. The next time you visit, hopefully for a longer period, please be sure to try our bistro mister parker's - our dark, sexy and seductive. Warmest Regards, Brandon McCurley General Manager More

I'm not going to repeat what the wealth of negative reviews because they're spot on. I'll spare the details and simply summarize my experience: The hotel: Absolutely amazing! Stunning art, decor, and grounds (5 stars) The service: Totally inconsistent. At times you're impressed, then you're disillusioned. (3 stars) SPG benefits: Totally nonexistent. This hotel is very 'weird' about SPG guests.... More

Dear Larghi, We make every effort to accommodate all SPG benefits. Unfortunately, upgrades and late check-out aren't always available; particularly during peak holiday periods. I hope you do find the opportunity to return and see why the vast majority of the reviews are rated as "Excellent". Kind Regards, Brandon McCurley General Manager More
