I was very excited about the hotel from their beautiful website and overall good reviews but this hotel was not worth $250 per night pricetag. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the townhouses which was nothing like the pictures showed. To start, our doors did not open up onto the pool- our townhouse was kind of off the... More

i cannot believe the reviews of this hotel unless they gave us the worst room at the hotel ..i was really excited about this hootel from the website. But the townhouse that we got had an old attic smell ,the glasses to pour our complimentary wine was dirty and waxy, the worst part of all was the stained sheets on the bed.... A fantastic hotel which more than lived up to our expectations. We were absolutely heartbroken when our flight into San Diego was delayed by seven hours, meaning that we wouldn't get in to Palm Springs until one thirty in the morning. We were really looking forward to the wine reception and settling in. However, the hotel had provided clear late... More

I found this property through Palm Springs visitor website. This was truly a gem of a property. There are 16 rooms on the property and our group with the exception of 1 other guest had the run of the hotel. There are 2 townhouse rooms - very comfortable and both looking out on to the pool. Their regular rooms all... More

My husband and I stayed here in June at the end of a 3 1/2 week trip around California. Loved the hotel. Rooms basic but nice and very clean, beds comfy. Chilled out by the pool for a couple of days which was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Donald, one of the owners is a real sweetheart, lovely guy... More

After reading so many positive reviews about this hotel, we booked a stay. We were quite disappointed. Our room stank -- a blend of mold and chemicals I think. Our carpets were so sticky we had to wear shoes all the time, the deadbolt on the door didn't work and the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling with no... More

I just spent the week at the Hotel Movie Colony. It was a super great experience that I want to share. This is a boutique Hotel; you are on a first name basis with the very friendly and attentive staff AND owner. No waiting for the elevator in the lobby (there isn’t one), no crowded or expensive parking lots (free... More

We booked the Sinatra townhouse and you can't fail to be impressed when you arrive. It was a very rare rainy day in Palm Springs when we arrived but the place still looked great and we had bags of space. The bed was very comfy, the heated pool was a real treat and having a roof terrace was fab. My... More

My daughter and I were glad from the moment we walked onto the property, having arrived late at night with instructions in hand, to find our room nicely prepared for us. We stayed four nights in one of the poolside patio rooms, found absolutely nothing to complain of and spent plenty of time raving about the MCH, its silky saline... More

From the minute we entered the movie colony hotel we were impressed, the staff are friendly, they made us feel welcome and carefully explained all of the amenities and Palm Springs restaurants that we may like to visit. The rooms and beds are extremely comfortable and everything is well priced. I enjoyed the fire-pit and talking with other guests who... More
