We stayed here for 3 nights and thought it was great. The receptionist was very helpful on arrival and when we said we thought the room we had been allocated might be a bit noisy as it was by the pool she went out of her way to sort us out a more secluded room. Loved the fact it was... More

We spent three nights at the Movie Colony Hotel after staying at another property in the area. The vibe of this hotel was quite different from the other one and it took us awhile to adjust. The hotel was built in the 50's and has been updated, but not everything has been updated. We booked a two story townhouse right... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we had purchased a hotel package for Coachella Festival. My husband always reads the reviews and found this one that looked like good value and a little gem. When we arrived we were quickly checked in and shown to our room. The lady on reception (I think she was the... More

We was staying at the Alcazar across the street for the first 2 nights in Palm Springs and couldnt wait to get outta there due to a huge party which took the whole hotel over and the Movie Colony Hotel was a sigh of relief, We arrived at the hotel and went to check in, at first the receptionist seemed... The movie colony hotel was the great Palm Springs vibe we were looking for after being disappointed so many times. Retro feel with modern amenities. Staff was fantastic and location is near the art district and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed lounging by the pool and drinking complimentary Dean Martini's in our patio while listening to the rat pack music being... More

Hubby and I stayed only one night at this boutique hotel and were very pleased! Found a great deal for $73/night. The place is older but very clean.. We will just call it "retro". We are not hotel snobs in any way and do go around trying to find things wrong. Clean room.. Check. Comfy bed..check.. Nice staff.. Check! Our... More

We stayed in the Sinatra Townhouse and loved it. We had a comfortable king size bed, tiled shower with great water pressure, fireplace, mini fridge and Aveda amenities. The private balcony overlooking the pool was a great place to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. Constructed in 1935 with thick walls meant we never heard another guest's voice, shower running or flush!... More

I love this place! We had a patio room on the 2nd floor. Great views of the mountains. They do a happy hour every evening with free drinks, let you borrow bicycles to ride downtown & include noodles in the pool. Check out my blog post about our weekend her at http://closet-creep.com/

Stayed here recently as I was in town to attend a series of business meetings. Very nice hotel, I was fortunate enough to book one of the duplex rooms, room was spacious with nice upstairs outdoor deck overlooking the pool. The hotel has a free daily Continental Breakfast and the Happy Hour each evening offers guests unlimited free Dean Martinis.... More

I rated the hotel 4 as the bathroom in my unit needed attention. Toilet roll bar was broken, a light was out. Other than that, great experience! Love the style and look of this place. 24 hour pool/hot tub is a no-brainer. Soaked in it after a late night in Joshua Tree. Although room 14 was nice and spacious, it... More
