After reading the reviews and seeing the hotel's photos, I was expecting so much more of this place. Our room, that we paid quite a lot for, looked like it belonged in dirt cheap motel. We were greeted by a linoleum floor, tiny dresser with 4 small drawers to store our clothes and 3 hangers in the closet. The bathroom... More

If everything has to be immaculate and new for you, then this is not the right place. On the other hand, this is a lovely and quaint Palm Springs boutique hotel that is attractive, mature, quiet, friendly, reasonably priced, and extremely comfortable. It also has an interesting history. It is 2 miles from downtown Palm Springs, and has a great... More

Let me begin by saying the property and location can't be beat-plus the old world spanish villa style is beautiful. Rooms need a facelift, a little shaggy, but no big deal. Pools and views are astonishing. It was wonderful looking at the moon and stars and sitting in the courtyard next to a little fireplace. Europa was also topnotch. Major stars... More

We almost never repeat a trip because we love new experiences but this is such a charming and cozy hotel we've now been back twice. The quaint common areas include a twinkle-lighted bar, a warm pool (2 of them actually), a quiet hot tub down a garden path, and a fireplace clad lanai where refreshments like citrus water, lemonade, cookies... Right outside of the mania in downtwin Palm Springs is a bastion of sanity. Villa Royale Inn. 30 or so lovely spotlessly clean rooms and each one unique. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood but walking distance, (albeit a fair hoof, truth be told) to the melee downtown. There are two nice quiet pools, fountains and patios, nooks... A funky out of the way hotel in a residential area. Our room was reached by a path that crossed a stream and then through a gate to our veranda and room. Room itself was small with very little furniture but lots of "things". Could use some dressers. Hotel is old and needs updating and maintenance. Did have fridge and... More

We had booked two nights and would have left in the middle of the first night had we not been so tired. The grounds are deceiving to what lies inside a room! Shocking that management charges such high prices for such low quality. There were four us staying in one of the suites that we were told would comfortably accommodate... More

Restful, charming setting with a good breakfast and restaurant for dinner- Our room was particularly small but had a quaint appeal and a private patio. Service was very good. Feels like a one story large home. In a quiet neighborhood just off the main street. Lovely grounds in need of a little more maintenance and attention . Some areas are... More

A beautiful hotel with courtyards, flowers, rose garden, two pools and a spa. Each room is different with most having private outdoor seating areas. Very charming. Breakfast is included (limited menu) and is very tasty; service is excellent. Within walking distance there are several wonderful restaurants. There is a restaurant and bar on site too. If you are looking for... More

We had the opportunity to stay here due to a Travelzoo voucher and were looking for a more quaint spot in PS. We loved it and it was awesome we could also have our dog with us. The service was great, the grounds beautiful, room was spacious a little old school but it worked. Overall great time and would definitely... More
