This pensione is a piece of heaven. Step away from the hectic pace of life and unplug. The staff are kind and thoughtful. You feel transported to another country without the long travel time. Fabulous breakfast included. This is no buffet! Made fresh with fresh squeezed Orange juice and good coffee! Located right on the edge of the mountains. Leave... More

Such a relaxing unassuming grace and lovely splendor. Gorgeous timeless decor in vintage setting, ultimate hospitality, delicious him-cooked breakfasts and more throughout the day poolside and outdoors.

This was our fifth stay at this amazing hotel in Palm Springs. We would love to come even more frequently but is a long way from our home. The facility is eclectic and no rooms are alike. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed and romantic. There is no TV or internet in the rooms, just a collection of vintage books (in... More

We honeymooned at the Korakia back in 1994 (21 years ago) when it was still owned by architect Doug Smith. We loved it then. Doug was always around and gave the place such personal and caring attention. It was just beginning to get written up in magazines and being a travel writer at the time, I also wrote about it... Thank you for your review. My name is Paulette and I have been the General Manager of Korakia for 12 years. Doug Smith sold Korakia 9 years ago, we are now and have been owned by one individual since that time. I am sorry you did not feel the personal touch but I can say that a property like Korakia... An Historic Boutique Hotel in downtown Palm Springs with two courtyards and pools peeked our interest. We have been in the Cochella Valley many times over the past 24 years and were looking forward to staying in Old Palm Springs up against the mountain and out of the wind. $410 USD per night including tax isn't cheap, but what the... Thank you for your review. I am sorry you had a bad experience. I can assure you that we work very hard to maintain Korakia while still being true to our rustic charm. I really wish we would have had the opportunity to right any wrongs while you were here. I will be contacting you directly this upcoming week. We... More

Each time I have visited this hotel, I have fallen in love with the beautiful environment and peaceful setting. If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle and TRULY deactivate from everything, this is the place for you. If I could live at Korakia all year round, I would. Also worth mentioning, this hotel is incredibly romantic.... More

This collection of buildings is either Mediterranean (one side of the street) or Moorish (on the side of the street nearer to the mountains). The Moorish/Moroccan building began life almost 100 years ago as the invention/creation of its Scottish artist/owner. Even by Palm Springs standards, the grounds are expansive and must have been very grand in its day. A major... More

If you want great service, and a quiet location to spend with your loved one or your friends, then this is the place for you. I wouldn't recommend it for young families. I loved hanging out by the heated outdoor pool or the outdoor gas fireplace. They do show movies if you are in the hotel in the evening, but... More

This is a very charming older facility in a great neighborhood in PS. No TVs, no kids, but lots of peace and quiet. The rooms are all different - we had the Adobe, which was on the small side but perfectly adequate. This place is meant to be enjoyed outside in the patio areas, where breakfast is served, or around... More

The hotel is great, we have been thinking about it ever since. Room is comfortable, pools are nice, and quiet and the staff is great. Breakfast in the morning was great, borrowed bikes to roll around town. Can say enough good stuff.
