We stayed here on the recommendation of friends. The place is ideally-located, just blocks from shopping and restaurants. Unfortunately there were a few things that need correcting. First of all, internet did not work in our room, which was across the street from the main hotel, which meant we needed to go into the breakfast area to download. Also, the... More

I stayed here 3 nights with my husband during the later Summer and we talk about that particular stay all the time. I wouldn't even think of giving another hotel in the area another chance because we fell for Korakia so hard. From the moment you walk into this place, you feel an absolute sense of home and welcome, but... More

Korakia Pensione is a soulful place meant to be experienced fully. The atmosphere especially the pool area on the Moroccan side is so relaxing you feel a million miles away from any stress in your life. This is not a posh hotel, it has character. I mean to say if you are looking for flat screen t.v.'s and 24 hr.... More

Even though this was only an overnight stay, I loved every minute of this beautiful place and could easily have stayed here longer! The place is welcoming and warm from the moment you step in. Enjoy sitting by the fire pit at night and/or take a relaxing dip in the pool. The place is within walking distance of restaurants and... More

We stayed at Korakia for one night in late January, and loved every minute of it! We honestly didn’t want to leave! From the moment you arrive on the grounds, it honestly feels like you’ve been transported to another place. The grounds are beautiful and nicely maintained. The orange and lemon trees, all the potted and blooming plants, bird feeders... More

This pensione is a piece of heaven. Step away from the hectic pace of life and unplug. The staff are kind and thoughtful. You feel transported to another country without the long travel time. Fabulous breakfast included. This is no buffet! Made fresh with fresh squeezed Orange juice and good coffee! Located right on the edge of the mountains. Leave... More

Such a relaxing unassuming grace and lovely splendor. Gorgeous timeless decor in vintage setting, ultimate hospitality, delicious him-cooked breakfasts and more throughout the day poolside and outdoors.

This was our fifth stay at this amazing hotel in Palm Springs. We would love to come even more frequently but is a long way from our home. The facility is eclectic and no rooms are alike. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed and romantic. There is no TV or internet in the rooms, just a collection of vintage books (in... More

We honeymooned at the Korakia back in 1994 (21 years ago) when it was still owned by architect Doug Smith. We loved it then. Doug was always around and gave the place such personal and caring attention. It was just beginning to get written up in magazines and being a travel writer at the time, I also wrote about it... Thank you for your review. My name is Paulette and I have been the General Manager of Korakia for 12 years. Doug Smith sold Korakia 9 years ago, we are now and have been owned by one individual since that time. I am sorry you did not feel the personal touch but I can say that a property like Korakia...
