The Sunset Inn is a quaint little hotel just 1 block from the ocean. The rooms have hardwood floors and an open air with good space. The bathrooms are cutely decorated with a stone theme. My only complaint was the pillows were very firm, so if you like a soft or feather down pillow, bring your own. We would definitely... More

We stayed here for one night on the way from LA to San Francisco. We stayed in a deluxe room with the jacuzzi bath, even though it is a little more expensive it was well worth it. The room was homely with a good sized equipped kitchen and in a lovely setting. The host was very knowledgeable about the area... More

We stayed here one night and were very happy. We purchased two-days-for-the-price-of-one Aquarium tickets from Barbara, the manager. She was very helpful and gave us good information about everything we asked. The room was clean and quiet (and we went to bed very early). The location was great....a short ride to the aquarium and a short walk to the shoreline.... More

Nice, simple and clean hotel. Wifi provided. In a quiet neighbourhood. Near to beach and 17mile scenic drive. Approximately 5-7mins drive to town centre (aquarium, cannery row and fisherman wharf). Competitively priced. Overall a very reasonable hotel if you're taking a pit stop for the night.

Prevent your trip from being ruined and don't stay here. The owner seems to have no idea how to run a customer service- oriented business. Rather than me writing the whole thing again, check out my screenshot of my yelp review included.

I stayed here for a romantic getaway on labor day weekend. The check in was excellent and easy. Beach access was nice. Our room was big and very clean. The housekeepers and front desk were very accommodating. Our stay was very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed it so much we are making this an every year vacation spot for us.

We enjoyed our 4-night stay a the Sunset Inn. The location of this hotel was great; just a short stroll to the scenic beach area. Our room was clean and reasonably well appointed, with a fireplace and a jetted tub. One small complaint: the room could have used a small table for a laptop computer etc. Other than that it... More

Sunset Inn is more like a traditional motel than a hotel - all of the rooms are situated right next to the parking lot. But the comparison to a motel ends there as the rooms are very well appointed with wood floors, fireplaces and jet tubs. Location is outstanding - just across the street from the Point Pinos lighthouse and... More

'Mr. Personality' at the desk at check in didn't seem to like me, possibly since I booked through hotels.com. Anyway he gave me a handicapped room. No counter space, etc. Not at all convenient for non-handicapped. Floor was dirty; had to scrape off debris from feet before getting into bed in order to not sleep with it. I removed a... More
