I love Pacific Grove and Monterey and was looking for a place where I could take my dog. I found the Lighthouse Lodge and have stayed there each time afterwards when I went to the Monterey Bay. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms on the 2nd floor have balconies and some have views of... More

I also bought the recent Groupon, and felt thoroughly misled. Whatever they charge per night regularly, it wasn't worth the reduced rate of $88 per night on Groupon. While the property is perfectly located near the ocean in Pacific Grove, and the nearby cemetery guarantees quiet nights, the room was dismal - room was dark, brown nylon curtain, a 1-inch... More

I always check TripAdvisor before I book a room, but this time I relied on a recommendation from another facility that accepts dogs (as does Lighthouse). I assumed it would be similar quality and have some of the same amenities. My room was the lowest priced one (queen). I didn't check the other room offers, as I should have. If... More

I stayed at this hotel because I had a Groupon, which cost $115. There are two properties, the one where I stayed, and a more expensive one half a block away, which includes a wine and appetizer reception and a chef-cooked breakfast. (The front desk said those rooms were over $200.) Our room was pretty standard, though it did have... More

We were there in October for a wedding. Very nice time! The rooms are nice but need a little work. The windows weren't very functional in our room so it did get a little warm at night. The rooms would be nicer if there were ceiling fans, due to no air conditioning. But all in all the facility was nice... More

We stayed here for two nights in September. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable with the added extra of a fireplace. There was also a balcony but we did not make much use of it. There is a cemetery next door, which could put some people off but we were not bothered by it. The complimentary breakfast was... More

This hotel is very pleasant, clean and quiet. The location is hard to beat, just a little stroll to some of the most beautiful tide pools and vistas in Calif. We were able to sit on a bench and watch whales pass by, saw at least a dozed deer during our 2 night visit. The stay includes breakfast and coffee... More

Just stayed here for a solo biking trip. Bought the Groupon deal. I got an upper level room, but overlooked the cemetery. I didn't spend much time in the room, so it was fine. Comfortable, albeit very aged. Everything you'd need including a mini fridge and coffee maker. It reminded me of a cottage from maybe 1988? Light blue and... More

We purchased a two night Groupon, which was a fairly good deal. Keeping that in mind, everything in our room was very dated or old needing remodeling and replacement. As we checked out they were blocking one cottage off for that. As others said our cottage faced the cemetery, but partially obstructed with trees. There are other cottages across the... More

We stumbled across this place by looking at American Groupon in the UK. We didn't manage to secure the deal due to not having an American credit card, but on phoning the Lighthouse, a very helpful pleaseant person told me that whilst she couldn't match the Groupon deal herself, I should explore sites such as Expedia etc. This I duly...
