We have been going to the Monterey Peninsula for more than 40 years, so we have tried a lot of places. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We like the location, the amenities and the breakfast was great. This is not the fanciest place, but the prices are also very reasonable, especially for an inn 1 block from the ocean.

My husband and I just returned from a quick two-night trip at the Old St. Angela Inn. The Inn is only a block away from the ocean. It has a warm and comfortable feel with spacious and well-appointed rooms. We enjoyed reading in the sitting room by the fire eating the fabulous home-made cookies! We made last-minute reservations so we... More

Great breakfasts and lovely location. Only two blocks from the water. We stayed in the Otter Crest room which faces the garden and side street. It was very quiet and we heard no street noise at all. Lots of good restaurants close by. Diane was very helpful and Julia her helper, was an absolute delight. Afternoon tea with wine and... More

This was our second time at this lovely bed and breakfast in Pacific Grove. The beach which is really just a rocky shore is only a short block away. The views were fantastic. Breakfasts were very good and they accommodated my need to have a gluten-free breakfast by preparing something special for me each morning (scrambled eggs or an omelette.)... More

The location of this Inn is fantastic, only one block away from the ocean and within walking distance of the Monterey Aquarium. Since it is located in Pacific Grove, it is away from the bustle of Monterey. Also, it's not as commercialized as some of the local B&B's are and the price is reasonable. The rooms are lovely, filled with... More

Stopping off during our road trip, we came across this beautiful B&B and decided to stay. So thankful that we did because the hospitality was wonderful from the moment we stepped in. We were welcomed with homemade cookies, cakes and refreshments anytime we wanted. After a long day traveling we sat in the garden and chilled out to the sound... More

This must be one of the best b&b values anywhere. The location in laid-back Pacific Grove -- one block from the ocean, with the oceanfront recreational trail into Monterey, and close to 17-Mile Drive -- is perfect. Dianne and Jerry are gracious hosts. The indoor and outdoor common areas are comfortable. You can't beat the gourmet breakfasts, afternoon wine (and... More

We loved everything about this place. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom lighting was excellent, and the breakfasts were varied and delicious. When we went back to the B&B in the late afternoon, fresh cookies were waiting for us. The weather was comfortable during the day and cool enough for us to leave our windows open allvthe time we were... More

My Husband and I were going to spend our vacation touring down the Pacific Coast Highway after visiting Yosemite. We had no definite plans or timeline, we just had to be in San Diego in one week's time. We drove to Monterey from Mariposa and decided to spend the night. I checked with Tripadvisor and found The Old St. Angela... More

My wife and I just spent 3 glorious nights at the Old St. Angela Inn, and really enjoyed every minute. Tastefully appointed rooms, delicious and freshly prepared breakfasts, wonderful Tea Time snacks, wine and prepared dishes, and homemade baked cookies everywhere! We loved this place, but don't go here if you're on a diet, too much great food. We stayed... More
