My wife and I were looking for the perfect get away from the usual tourist trap hotels and lousy service. Needless to say, Old St. Angela had my wife and I thinking that this would be the perfect way to retire. To our amazement, the owners were originally from South Florida too. I can see why they settled to Pacific... more

I've stayed here several times now and having stayed in similar spots in Germany, Spain, Switzerland, England, Scotland, and the US, I must say this tops the list. Not only is the place charming, with a stunning garden, fire pit, lovely breakfast, and wonderful rooms, but the inn keepers are real treasures. Fresh baked cookies available throughout the day and... more

I came from Wisconsin to Monterey to get married on October 20th. We had a 15 guests total (besides us) and decided to rent the entire house (9 rooms) of the Old St. Angela Inn for everyone to stay at on the 19th and 20th. Our experience was far beyond expectation and I would *highly* recommend this property to anyone... more

We recently spent 3 days at the Old St. Angel Inn after 5 days in San Francisco for a nephew's wedding. What a relaxing treat it was to be welcomed to this beautiful B & B by Dianne and Jerry. They and their staff made us feel so welcome and at home it was hard to leave. The house is... more

My cousin (whose name happens to be Angela)and I met in P.G. which is half way between where we each live. The room, the hosts, the ambiance, the breakfast, the afternoon tea, wine and snacks, the garden all exceded my expectations, which were high to begin with. To the people who complained about some of the rooms being small, and... more

Just returned from a stay at the Old St. Angela Inn 06/16 and 06/17. We stayed in the Newport Room. This was the only time during our trip to California where saving money was a bad decision. Our room was entirely too small for two people. It was a beautiful room with antiques and the bed was gorgeous. It was... more

This bed and breakfast is the best! I stayed at the Pacific Grove Inn years ago, and this place is 10 times better. The food is great. The afternoon tea is almost a meal. The bed are extremely comfortable, and the rooms are cozy, comfy, and quiet. The flowers in the garden are lovely. The inn is within easy walking... more

This is an excellent B&B, with comfortble rooms and good breakfasts. It also has an attractive garden. We were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival, and the owners were most helpful in recommending restaurants. more

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Night at the Old St. Angela Inn and we couldn't have asked for a better home away from home. The Inn was more beautiful than it looked in the brochure - the amazing garden in the back was adorable all lit up with white Christmas lights. Our room could have been upgraded for free... more

I often come to Monterey to visit friends and family and love to stay at this Inn. The owners and staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts are wonderful...especially the french toast! I have stayed in the Whale Watch and Bayview rooms, which both offer a view of the ocean and are pretty in themselves. I prefer the Newport room... more
