Very friendly host, the room was clean and spacious. We took the offer of using free bikes and the breakfast includes waffles! Would definitely stay there again. Good value for an expensive area and very close to Monterey attractions. more

Nothing fancy but a very affordable.Suites best friends travelling together without kids who does'n spend much time in hotel itself, but want to explore Galveston staying on budget. We booked ours at $ 64 per room in July 2007. You don't see much of the staff or other guest but that is the beauty -the privacy!. Just cross theroad and... more

My husband and I have been traveling to the area for years we have family there that we have always stayed with in Carmel, well this time we decided to stay at a hotel and let the kids stay with the grandparents, we had always wanted to stay at the Beachcomber and we were not sorry. This place was perfect for our last minute getaway. I booked it directly over the phone and the woman I spoke to gave me a discount over the phone. We got the room below low season midweek price according to the rates on the flyer we got there so I recommend calling them directly to book since you might be... more

Free bikes, free breakfast, great location, friendly staff. The room was big, clean and had a fridge. The staff seemed very interested in making us happy and even offered to tell the manager of the 'Fishwife' restaurant next door that we had a lousy meal (many folks rave about this place, I wouldn't eat there again.) Highly recommend room #24... more

We stay at the BeachComber for three days to a week in March, May, July, September and October (daughter's equestrian competitions) and have been doing so for about six years. It is by no means fancy, but the beds are very comfortable, the sheets are good quality, and the towels are fluffy. The continental breakfast (now with waffles!) is self-serve.... more

My husband and I stayed here a few nights during our honeymoon. What a great last minute find! The place is very cute, within walking distance to the ocean. The rooms are very quaint (small, but very clean and accomodating). The price for our room was a super value compared to more expensive hotels in the area. It also includes... more

The room was simple with a large TV. The complimentary breakfast and free VHS movies were nice. One drawback: Roadway noise can be a problem at night. Best feature: Only a few hundred yards from dunes and crashing surf. Great for morning or evening strolls. more
