The location is great and the staff were very friendly, Yes they offer Wine and Cheese in the evening, but this hotel is very dated. I found the beds to be very uncomfortable as you can feel the springs underneath you, but my biggest complain is the noise. You can hear the neighbors dog all night, can hear the shower,... More

We spent two nights with our family in a two bedroom suite. They offer a wine and cheese in the evening and a good breakfast in the morning to get you going. The location is just outside the Pebble Beach gate and convenient to Monterey. This place offers great value for your money. More

A pleasant place to stay and the staff were very friendly d extremely helpfull. The complimentary two hour wine and cheese session each evening was enjoyable. Breakfast was included and served in the foyer. Our room was clean and serviced daily. Wi-Fi worked well in the lobby and patio and was also available in the room. There was also a fireplace... More

After driving from san Francisco on a cold damp day in late July it was lovely to be greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Pacific gardens Inn and pacific grove is like stepping back in time. The rooms are not ultra modern, but true to phoographs( sheets and blankets on the beds) but they are clean, large and provided all... We stayed at the Pacific Gardens Inn for 2 nights. Robert, the Manager is very friendly and he upgraded us to a Fireplace Room. The location is great for long walks, and it is very quiet. I enjoyed the low key atmosphere of the property, breakfast in the morning, and wine and cheese in the evening, and internet use. The... More

Excellent location to Asilomar beach, downtown Pacific Grove, Monterey, Carmel. Comfortable lobby to have complimentary breakfast, read a book, relax by the fireplace, enjoy the evening cheese/crackers/wine. Friendly and helpful owners and staff. Rooms are large and comfortable with coffee or tea and popcorn machine. Children friendly! I stay at Pacific Gardens for work and on family vacations, always I... More

We have stayed here many times both before the present owner, Robert, took over and now since he has had the place. Low key; dog friendly (only some rooms); beautiful situation across the street from Asilomar and a 5 minute walk to the ocean and the beach. Pacific Grove is a great low key town; endless good restaurants in PG... More

The staff and location are the only redeeming qualities of this hotel. The rooms are clean, but incredibly dated and in need of repair. I was not expecting a four star resort, but for the price this place is unacceptable. Some of the light fixtures did not work. The couch and bed were uncomfortable and falling apart. The only heat... After searching forever for an affordable place to stay in Carmel for a family of 4 adults without re-mortgaging the house, we took a flyer on this property based on TripAdvisor ratings and comments. Would definitely stay there again. Pros Excellent location. 5 minute drive to Monterey, 10 minutes to Carmel, and a 5 minute walk through a state park... More
