Nice and quiet area ans close to the beach. A short drive and you are in Cannery Row. The cottages are connected but we did not hear our neighbor. more

I looked at the reviews on Trip Advisor after I had already booked my stay and was almost tempted to cancel my booking. I am so glad I didn't. All the bad things things I had read did not happen to us. The room was spacious with two comfortable double beds and a fireplace. It was clean, comfortable and quiet... more

This was our second stay in a year and it was again quiet and clean. Granted, wifey and I stayed mid-week, but all the guests seem to be aware and responsible. You can't beat the price ($89 with a king and fireplace) for a place so close to the beautiful Asilomar Beach with its rocky tide pools and paths--perfect for... more

Nice grounds, the room was nice, roomy with a kitchen, very, very clean, free parking, the three things we did not like, the bed was horrendous, so hard we both woke up with aching backs, the pipes in the next doors room went on right over our head in the middle of the night, woke us up very loud, the... more

Hotel is on Asilomar St. We stayed in room 102, June 7-12, 2009. We had a view of the ocean, but had to move sofa to see it. Fireplace was gas, very nice. New gas stove needs oven recalibration. Kitchen had outstanding full-size Amana microwave. Had granite countertops & some utensils & china. Bathroom outstanding! Everything new: insulated windows and... more

We booked a 1 bedroom for 4 nites over President's Day weekend. The price was $229 plus $15 nite for our dog. The unit was very clean and the kitchenette had a full stove and microwave and small table and chairs. The gas fireplace was right across from the stove and refrigerator. The rest of the living room consisted of... more

Upon arriving, the property looked quaint and inviting, but after going to our room which was quote, "A Cottage", we knew we had been scammed by their website. The Cottage was actually attached to another room, was cramped and claustrophobic, and had very poor lighting, unless you like overhead institutional lighting! The view of the ocean was non-existent, unless you... more

After reading a few positive reviews of this motel and needing a "pet friendly" motel near Carmel, we choose a "cottage" as represented on their website. The room we got was a cramped, poorly furnished part of a row of rooms with almost no natural light. We were required to pay for two nights at check in and they require... more

Perhaps my expectations were too high. But at $189 on a Tue. night I thought it would be better. I opted for the "cottage" because of what i read about thin walls. This was a very run of the mill motel, that had no charm and was purely functional. Thank god my client asked me to dinner or I would... more

Had booked my reservations last November (seven months in advance) for a two-bedroom suite for my boss and I to stay in during a retreat at Asilomar. Upon arriving, my room turned out to be a two queen room. Not do-able for a week with my boss. The young girl at the front desk saw immediately that I had requested... more
