We stayed at the Gosby House Inn for a weekend as we needed to attend a wedding in Carmel. The rooms are very nice, well appointed with furnishings and the inn is located in a charming part of Pacific Grove. The staff was very attentive and the breakfast buffet was well attended and very good.

OK kids listen up - this is a b&b from another era - if you want modern, bugger off to a chain hotel. But the wi-fi works and I speak as a man who's livelihood depends on keeping in touch. The afternoon drinks and bits are great, the breakfast excellent. Chain hotel it is not, things change from day to... More

Gosby House is in a convenient location in Pacific Grove near restaurants and shops. We always enjoy our stays there and their breakfast is wonderful! Cookies in the afternoons and evening snacks and wine are also served. The location of the Inn and the charm of the rooms brings us back time after time. We enjoy the winter specials and... More

Gosby House was everything you would ever want in a B&B. Great service and convenient location in the center of Pacific Grove. The fresh baked cookies, the delicious breakfast and small touches like a fresh bud rose in the room, lovely toiletries and ease of check in all made for a great Mother's Day experience. We stayed in the cottage... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights in the Judge Langford room last month, and I loved it. My husband complained because he thought the room was too small, but for me, it was just right. Location was perfect, very close to downtown Monterey and Cannery Row, as well as the coast. Beautiful Victorian with lots of character, so if... More

The room was what appeared to formally be a closet, incredibly uncomfortable bed, shower not recommended for anyone larger than a slight adult. Stairs to second floor very narrow and steep, decor daunting and depressing. However......nice quiet location, close to the park and Cannery Row.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent stay with us and for your lovely comments with regards to our quiet yet central location. I was sorry to read that you were disappointed in your guestroom. As with most historic Victorian properties, we have guestrooms of various sizes and I certainly acknowledge that the guestroom you... What a wonderful place to stay. Old Victorian home 1887 with lovely rooms and great amenities right in the downtown area of Pacific Grove near lots of restaurants. The people were great, Wonderful food and snacks almost all day long to include wine and veggies and sweets every afternoon at 4:30 pm and more. Lovely sitting areas with soft music... More

Between Monterey and Carmel and walking distance to the great acquarium, Pacific Grove is peaceful, beautiful, and full of life. Gosby House is a slightly less expensive alternative to the Four Sisters other inn in PG and equally enjoyable. The coastal paths are minutes from the front door, complimentary bikes are available, and there's a lovely wine reception at the... More

This is a lovely bed and breakfast. Our room had an outdoor entrance, #18, Julia Pratt, with a queen bed, fireplace and jacuzzi tub. They have a turn-down service and leave you with chocolates, a rose, and little card with a poem. Great touch! Many good restaurants within easy walking distance - one to three blocks. Ocean is 4 blocks... More

We walked to the beach and were entertained for about 2 hours by a pod of whales, spouting and breaching within a few hundred yards from shore. Later we went to Big Sur and stopped at a turnoff above a 400 ft cliff and saw 3 Calif. Condors!!!!!! Beds are very comfortable at the B&B and the evening wine and... More
