Our stay at the Seven Gables was perfect in all respects. The Inn is charming and well-appointed (but not pretentious); and the staff is gracious and welcoming. Our room was spacious and bright with magnificent views. The furnishings are lovely and the bed might be the most comfortable in the world! The complimentary afternoon wine/cheese and evening cookies/milk are wonderful... More

We spent 3 nights there for our 25th anniversary. It was everything we could have imagined and then some. The view was fabulous. The wine and cheese hour was fun as we got to meet so many nice folks. The cookies were a great way to end the evening. Breakfast was more than anyone could ask for. Yes it was... More

Stayed three nights at the hotel. Good location, very unique rooms. But the room is tiny and crowded. Mattress and comforter are unusually too warm to be comfortable at night. The pictures of the ocean view from hotel rooms were deliberately taken from a certain angle in order not to reveal the nearby streets and roofs. The real view is... More

We appreciate this guest taking time to write of their experience and submit photos of the Seven Gables Inn. Since we are a historic inn, our rooms vary in size and view which determines the price of the room from a low of $239 for single rooms up to $699 for 1200 sq. ft suites. All our guest rooms have... The was a great b&b. The room was charming- all have beautiful views of the ocean. It is away from the touristy areas - but close to nice restaurants. The staff were the best- friendly, over and above in being helpful. Breakfast was good- nice variety of food. Would definitely come back. Even got to see baby sea lions

Imagine having an unobstructed view of the bay and whale watching from your window. (Rocky Shores Room). Then being able to walk or bike for miles along the coast. Then walk downtown and eat at first class restaurants. End the day sleeping in one of the most comfortable beds ever and begin the next day with a great breakfast. This B&B... More

This was our first stay at the Seven Gables and we will definitely return on a regular basis. It exceeded our expectations. The staff was professional and efficient. Our room was tastefully decorated and was very comfortable. Since it is directly across the street from the coastal walking path, we had an amazing view of Monterey Bay from our room... More

Oh goodness, I really do not know where to begin....I guess I should start with the fact that I am usually not a big fan of B&B's. A friend and I were traveling to SF with our college age daughters and she suggested this inn. I checked it out online and was absolutely sold and must say EVERYTHING was PERFECT.... More

We had the best time at 7 Gables, once we parked our car, we could just walk to most places. We stayed in the Seascape room, which was beautiful, our room had the most wonderful views of the sunrise and the sights & sounds of the ocean were amazing. The staff help make everyone feel right at home. They thought... More

My husband and I stayed here as part of our 10-year anniversary trip up the coast. The location was far enough away from the touristy areas, but close enough to walk to restaurants and the sites of Monterrey. The staff was helpful, but unobtrusive, and the breakfasts were amazing. The chef even came out to share his recipe for peach... More

This was our third or fourth stay, and this stay was the best, so far... We checked in shortly after they started the wine, cheese, and Hors D'Oeuvres... We chatted with a couple from Modesto, then another couple from Brea, SoCal, USA... By the next Morning, we were talking with a retired rocket scientist, and his wife, who stayed here... More
