My girlfriend got us a room at the Green Gables Inn for my birthday. I knew the Inn is located right across the street from the ocean and that it’s within walking distance of many attractions in the area, but I was a bit worried when we arrived. The streets around the Inn are sloped and a bit narrow, and... More

My 3rd stay at a Four Sister's Inn. Green Gables is in a perfect location. 10 minute walk to the Monterey Aquarium and Cannery Row shops. A few minute walk to Lover's Point. Rooms are decorated in a kitchy style with a big teddy bear, rose, and chocolates on the bed. Our room had a jacuzzi and a fireplace. Delicious... More

Breathtaking view greets you as you walk toward the front door of the Inn. Its an old Victorian house dating back to the 1800s owned by the Lacy family, which was the name of the suite we stayed in: Lacy Suite, room 6. Our room was not what I would consider traditional. Located literally next to the front door, you'd... More

We enjoyed our stay at Green Gables Inn and loved that we could walk across the street to the beach, or for a walk alongside it. Pacific Grove is such a cute town! Our room was nice, but nothing to write home about (Gables Guestroom). I should have picked one of the rooms to either side of it which were... More

This was our second stay here, this time we chose a room at the front with a view overlooking the coast, with no private bathroom facilities. There are two bathrooms across the landing which I believe are shared by three rooms, we were provided with robes and it wasn't too much of an inconvenience balanced against the wonderful view from... The staff were very helpful and so nice. We were upgraded to a larger room in the carriage house. It was clean and large but there was a musty smell. I guess with all the fog it is common in the area. The food was good but very limited both for breakfast and afternoon. The wine and sherry were a... More

We've stayed twice in the Carriage House and had wonderful experiences each time. Green Gables Inn is a perfect place to hang out for a low stress trip, or to use as a home base to explore the greater Monterey area. The walking path across the street hugs the coast line, and provides an easy 10 minute walk to the... More

Recently, my sister and I were able to book a night for our parents 60th Anniversary. Their room was clean and very well appointed. The bathroom was useable and just what we expected. There are various prices that can be booked. Each room appears to be unique and worth the rent. There are rooms with restrooms and some with shared... More

Have stayed here 3 times. Great location overlooking Pacific Ocean. Very quiet and charming. No tv in most rooms but they do have wifi. They serve a great breakfast that is included. Our room had windows that open looking out over water and you can sleep with windows open with such a wonderful breeze. Great value.

The view of the water from our room was very nice. However, some of the amenities were disappointing. The breakfast was skimpy. We had been smelling the aroma of bacon in our room for about 20 minutes prior to breakfast. However, although we were the 2nd or 3rd party in line at the breakfast buffet, the bacon was already gone.... More
