It's so rare to have an experience that exceeds your expectations. This place does that. Centrally located, great staff (thank you, Grant) clean/comfortable accommodations. It was so much nicer than a hotel. Our family loved it. Pair that with breath taking views of the Redwoods at Prairie Creek or the ocean at St. Patrick Point; and you have the perfect... More

My family thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay. We rank this adventure at the top of our list. Grant was wonderful host and full of insight as to where and what to do. The peaceful atmosphere was what made this trip better than Yellowstone. The "cabins" are more like homes which made unwinding alot easier after crazy bikes rides and... More

This is a fantastic place for: -families -as a base camp to cover the gems of the Redwoods area -picking more blackberries than you can consume if you are there in season - seeing the elk herd up close and personal. . .every day -relaxing -playing soccer, frisbee, or any other grass activity The location is exceptional. Lady Bird (don't... More

My husband found this place after doing some research on the internet. If you want the closeness of nature without the hassles of camping, look no further! Elk Meadow Cabins are set in a central location with Prairie Creek State Park to the north and Lady Bird Grove to the south (off Hwy 101). Plenty of hiking/biking trails within walking... More

Great location, beautiful house. Just the space we needed after several days in hotels. We loved watching the elk right outside the doors. We enjoyed hanging out on the back deck. The boys (14 & 9) were able to play soccer in front and back. We were there two nights and wished we had planned longer. Everything you could want.... More

This is such a wonderful place. We felt very safe and comfortable. The cabins have all the comforts of a regular home (just bring your shampoo and food) - plus the layout and decor is very pleasant and comfortable. The people who run it were very nice and helpful. A small herd of elk seem to make the grounds theirs,... More

Lots of elk meandering right next to the cabins the four nights we stayed there (July 7-July 12, 2013). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Front desk guy was very knowledgeable about the trails and which were busy when. Donna even volunteered to drive the four of us up to the Lady Bird Grove because parking was limited. The trail... Stayed 2 nights in lady bird loft. 3 bedrooms, full kitchen, washer and drier. Clean and comfortable. Fantastic place to stay to visit redwoods. 2 cats seemed to adopt us. Perfect for a family. Quiet and restful site. Recommended.

We spent three nights in the Praire Creek Cabin. There were six people in our group. THIS truly is the perfect place to stay to explore the coast and the Redwoods. The cabins are VERY well appointed with everything you would need to cook your own meals. There is also a washer/dryer unit for your use and laundry soap too!... More

We used Redwood Adventures to provide a guided hike through Prairie State/Redwood National Park. Our guide was outstanding as we hiked through the redwoods and Fern Canyon. The guide's interpretation definitely added to our family's experience. Thanks Redwood.
