From the moment we drove up the hill to Gold Bluffs campground, it was a magical experience. Surrounded by redwoods (you could literally reach out your window and touch them as you drove by), the campgrounds seem to be enchanted by these Giant trees. When you arrive at the grounds, you set up your camp right on the beach! It's... More

We stayed here for two nights on our recent cross country road trip. It is one of the most lovely campsites I've ever stayed in. It is down a long, winding road that is gravel, which was fine for is but might bother some people. It is also just minutes from the Fern Canyon hike, making it very convenient location-wise... More

100' gold bluffs on one side, turn around and the ocean..This is our absolute favorite campground…First come first serve, 8 miles off of 101 on a bumpy dirt/gravel road…The campsites have picnic tables and cupboards to keep food, bathrooms and cold showers, even though they are solar heated. Each site has a fire pit, either bring your own wood or... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! The campground is back a bumpy gravel road, about 8 miles through beautiful forest full of ferns and big trees. It's certainly isolated, and a solid hour or more drive away from a major town, so stock up before you arrive. There were camp hosts available on and off throughout the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in early October when the weather was perfect (clear and low 70's). Generally good spacing between campsites. The campground is on the east side of the small dunes with about a 300 yard walk to the west over to the beach. The ocean was visible from our site. Some sites are a little lower... More

I absolutely loved staying here. The beach is beautiful and there are breathtaking mountains. We were able I snag a spot right on the dunes so every morning I opened up my tent and saw the beach. The showers are cold but they're free. The bathroom is always clean. People aren't loud but you can tell some are drinking and... More

This campground is located a few miles along a fairly rough dirt road. It is NOT suitable for any RVs larger than a small camper on a pickup bed, or maybe a small Class B van. It's wide open with no trees. Just grass. The campsites aren't too close together but we noticed that noises seemed to float over wide... More

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights June last year. I would recommend arriving by Thursday if you plan on staying a weekend as the camp sites are first come first serve. This campground is in a perfect location to base camp and explore the northern Redwoods as we did. don't miss out on hiking Fern Valley just... More

We arrived at Gold Bluffs Beach about 10am and were able to get a site for two nights in mid July. The sites are spaced nicely and everyone was respectful of the quiet hours. The setting is probably beautiful but it was cold, misty and gray the whole time we were there. We took a nice hike through Fern Canyon... More

This was our second time staying at Gold Bluffs Beach Campground. We had a great time on our first trip so we decided to visit again this year. Our experience this time was horrendous. We arrived there early because we knew it was first come, first serve. We were lucky to get two campsites. After we settled in, the adults... More
