I spent two nights at the Squaw Valley Lodge while attending a family reunion. The rooms were clean and neat, well laid out for our large group. Maybe the rooms are not the most modern but they were very quiet and I found my two-story condo to be exceptionally comfortable. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. Everyone in our... More

As I understand it, in the high season every room at all these lodges is booked so there's not a lot of incentive for them to invest a whole lot in upgrades. The lobby, pool and other common areas are pleasing, but the units (except for more modern TV's) are stuck in 1981 from a furnishings point of view. Our... More

I usually always review trip advisor prior to booking any hotel but I did not for this booking. We wanted to stay at Squaw Valley and SV Lodge allowed us to do so for a decent price based off my Squaw / Alpine annual ski pass. We drove up for the Brews Funk Jazz Festival in the Squaw Village. We... More

I stayed here during a conference at the nearly resort, which had steep prices. I found this lodge to be clean and mostly modern. The furnishings were in good condition-, and the rooms were much larger than your standard hotel room. All had at least a small kitchen, thus allowing you to prepare a meal or two. I believe the... We stayed during the week and weekend this summer and thoroughly enjoyed Squaw Valley more than we expected. The Squaw Valley Lodge was comfortable - not fancy, but nice. We were in a 2BR suite with a decent kitchen and comfortable seating area, which we booked at the last moment. Perhaps because of that we were in unit 700 which... More

I have stayed here the last 4 nights at $350 per night. I go in this morning to get a newspaper and was told I was not on the "list" to get a newspaper. I was then directed to a local store about 1/4 mile away which didn't have a current paper either. How much would it cost this Hotel... More

I would not stay there if it was super cheap , which it is not. Very out dated - lots of things need to be fixed. No air. Musty smell : ( Only thing good about this place is the front desk people I feel for them.

Seven of us stayed here for four days this summer and it could not have been a better trip. The rooms are big and comfortable and the views are stunning. Coming from Texas, we aren't used to seeing mountains and giant trees and we just couldn't get enough. The village is full of kids and dogs and friendly people and... More

From the informative and patient reservation people to the very friendly and helpful front desk staff. The rooms are all has a personality of it's own.... More

This hotel is large and just plain beautiful. Our room was upgraded to a suite by my sweet husband. We had two rooms and a kitchenette. All beautifully decorated and comfortable. Lovely fireplace in the room that added to the cozy feel of the rooms. Our view was breathtaking, overlooking the ski resort mountains. Rooms smelled clean and bathrooms were... More
