We stayed here last night. I seriously had a lot better experience in Motel 6 in some unknown locations than I had here. The rooms do not have A/C. We stayed in room 209. THere is a gigantic fan outside and the noise is so loud that it is like having an airplane next to you humming its engines full... more

HOTEL OVERALL: Can't beat the location, right next to the cable car that goes tot he High Camp, but what distinguished Plumpjack for us, a family with two small children who arranged a first-time trip to Tahoe and Squaw at the last minute, was the Plumpjack management team. Throughout they were professional, responsive, on the ball-- especially Eric the front... more

LOCATION: Plump Jack is the perfect location if you are looking for a ski in ski out hotel. It is literally a 30 second walk from the hotel entrance to the tram. It is right next to the squaw village which includes many restaurants, retail outlets and a small grocery store. Note: there is no valet parking and the parking... more

We stayed at PlumpJack for a wedding. It is an absolutely gorgeous location and the hotel itself is quite lovely and above average! The staff was really helpful and nice. I called them directly and from the get-go I had a really pleasant experience dealing with them. We had breakfast there every morning and that is really nice and totally... more

Plumpjack SVI is not a place I would recommend to anyone. Despite the adequate service provided by the hotel’s staff, only some of the prior reviews of this property get it right. Service: I have very high expectations of hotel staff and I must say that the staff at the Plumpjack really tries to get it right. They’re friendly, informative,... more

Currently at Plumpjack for a week-long business meeting/trade-show at the Resort at Squaw Creek. Wished I could have stayed there, but they were sold out. Can't wait to go home so I can actually sleep at night. I agree with the previous posters, Summer can get hot and with no air conditioning I was miserable in the room. With window... more

"Perfect location, immaculate rooms and a great restaurant and bar, what more do you need? After a one-nighter in Tahoe City, we got snobby and wanted to stay at Squaw for some easy ski in ski out, apres ski and stumble back to your room. Just walking in the room provided instant relaxation. The room was very spacious accommodating all... more

Great service – but hotel is OLD (they did their best putting lipstick on a pig), it was built for the Olympics in the 60s. Our room was incredibly loud – we could hear the conversations next door, kids crying, people flushing their toilet, & the people walking upstairs sounded like elephants. You can’t beat the location (base of Squaw)... more

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and will do so in the future due to it's great location and special character. However, every time I stay here I have the same problems. This property is a two story wooden stucture. If you stay on the second floor, you may find yourself in an uncomfortably hot... more

If you want to ski Squaw and walk across the street this is the place to stay. It is a cute boutique hotel with nice people at the desk. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is included and perfect for before skiing. For a winter getaway this was great. My only complaint is that you can hear the snow... more
