In town for a long weekend and we stayed in building 5, a two bedroom suite which included a kitchen. Very lovely and everything upgraded. There is no air conditioning but they do have fans. My only complaint about this place is the front desk is completely clueless and provided wrong info on a few different occasions. We discovered that... More

These appts are set in the most perfect location for a ski trip! Sadly Mother Nature declined on the snow front...so no ski in out...! Only a few runs open at the top of the mountain, so that was a shame. We were here for 2 weeks over the Xmas period. 2 couples, & 1 family of 3 ( they... More

My husband and I just spent the last 3 days nestled in beauty! Although, the last day was VERY smoky (from wildfires) we still enjoyed the resort immensely! It was clean, comfortable and felt like home. We love cooking in on vacation but especially on race weekends. Because our race was cancelled, the resort let us check out a day... More

My family of 3 just spent the Labor Day Weekend at the The Village. The "village" is decent, just what you'd expect, small shops, active gear, food, etc. The lodging is really not worth the money, however. Maybe in the winter, when you can take advantage of the mountains and ski lifts so easily. The first room we had was... More

We stayed here 6/25 - 6/28 for my husband's race. We had a 3 bedroom room looking out at the mountain. It was an incredible view that NEVER got old. Our room was well equipped and very clean. We had a separate bath tub and glass enclosed shower. Though not totally up to date, it was clean. The room was... More

In the first room, carpet was filthy, all the carpet seams were coming apart and furnishings were so worn the looked like they were from a garage sale. Second room not much better. Both rooms only had a swamp cooler type air conditioner that was located in the living room. For 500 dollars for a 3 bedroom suite, I expected... More

We went to Tahoe for a summer holiday with family and friends. There were quite a large number of us staying in different areas around the lake. We had our three young kids with us and were looking for somewhere that catered to families. Whilst, we didn't spend a lot of time in the resort itself other than sleeping and... More

In past visits to lake Tahoe, I have stayed at one of the lodges near the lake. The Village at Squaw Valley provides an experience that is considerably less rustic and an overall different vibe then being down in one of the communities near the lake. As the accommodations are situated on the upper floors of the buildings and the... More

There is so much wrong with this place, I have summarised briefly (more details below if needed). Briefly:- - Room 2419 Bed too high to get into. It's about 3 feet high - Noisy room overlooking the car park - No air conditioning and too noisy to leave the doors open - Dirty smelly nappies in the open waste paper... More

We booked through one of those "super secret hotel" programs. Don't do that!! When we arrived, the desk clerk told us we don't get any choice of rooms, and none of the tram passes or other deals advertised on the Village web site. Cost us more than if we had booked direct. They coded our key to the wrong room,... More
