Our family of four (including two children aged 3 and 6 years old) stayed for four days and nights at this resort during a spring break get-away. The grounds were lovely to explore as many others have said. We asked to stay in a building away from the renovation and ended up in Fontana, which required a fair amount of... More

Let me preface this review by saying that I've had the good fortunate to travel a fair bit over the past four months: a four week tour de force of the best hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka, in addition to the Maldives, Singapore, Arizona & Las Vegas. I say this only provide context to the praise that I am... More

The Ojai Valley Inn is a beautiful property in a stunning location. The rooms are large, thoughtfully laid out and never feel part of a 308 room resort. The distance between them is large though and although there is a bell service for shuttle, unless you plan well in advance, you'll rarely get one conveniently. There are some strange contradictions... More

My husband and I took a couples trip to California from Chicago and decided to splurge on this resort. We are so glad we did! The entire surrounding area is so picturesque and beautiful. They treated us lovely, our massages in the spa were simply wonderful, the spa boutique has some great items, the spa restaurant had delicious scones and... More

We visited the Ojai Valley Inn as part of a week long road trip in Southern California for Spring Break. We found the service friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The grounds were absolutely stunning. The main pool and restaurant were still closed down but the Herb Garden Family pool was open and lovely, if a bit crowded on the... More

Should rename the property Ojai Valley Inn & Hardhat Area. At least until the end of this month, April, when they say the work will be completed--so they say. What prompted this review and the three-rating (I'd usually give a five) was the construction being done on the main pool and one of the restaurants. Problem was the construction wasn't... More

As we move closer to our May 1st completion date for our new Adult Pool along with our signature restaurant, our construction is beginning to move at a very fast pace. We realize this has caused some inconveniences to our guests and especially to you during your recent stay with us. Although it is an exciting time for us here... More

We were first time guests and left on our last day very reluctantly. We plan to return as soon as possible. This was our first vacation together in 10 years and we were traveling with our 15 month old baby. We arrived later in the evening, and were greeted promptly and very kindly by the bell staff who had us... More

The first thing you notice as you pull into the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa driveway is the abundance of grand trees. And nestled amongst them are the sprawling white hacienda-style buildings and mostly California native gardens. Quite lovely. Our room was a mini suite in the Herb Garden area overlooking the Herb Garden pool (currently the family pool while... More

We have stayed here several times and always loved it. This time we were disappointed in some things and some we still loved. The bad: We booked a Junior suite, and the only thing it had extra is that it is somewhat bigger than a regular room. It only had one sink, (they have junior suites with 2) and that... More

Dear Jose S, Los Angeles, We clearly fell short in our goal to create a memorable stay for you during your recent visit with us. Our deepest apologies for the water issues and for the way it was handled as well as for your disappointment with our food and beverage quality and service. Thank you for bringing these issues to...
