Occidental itself is a tiny but very nice village to stay. We can recommend the Occidental Hotel. We had a very spacious room with 2 queens at reasonable price. Opposite the hotel is a very nice restaurant/bakery for having breakfast or lunch. For dinner you can walk to one of the (3?) restaurants in the village. A very peaceful place! more

We booked advising Occidental staff via phone that there would be 5 of us in the room for 2 nights, and they quoted a price. Upon check in they saw us, and there was no problem with the amount of us checking in. The staff said nothing as we piled out of our cars in plain view of the lodge... more

They overcharged our credit card without telling us. When we called to inquire about the charges they were rude and even hung up on us!! Simply a reflection of a dishonest establishment. more
