Looks like an apartment complex. No early check in. Check in is at 3 we got there at 2:30. Place was surrounded by road construction!!! And we felt like we were going to get robbed in the parking lot.. talk about Ghetto you can't get more Ghetto then this place. Decided to cancel reservations with Booking.com whom we originally booked... More

I stayed here the night as the Golden State Warriors were having a Championship Parade downtown with quite a crowd. Didn't want to take BART to come down here in the morning so I had choose this hotel to stay. The neighborhood is somewhat shaky looking at night. The Lodge itself is quite reasonably priced with very comfortable beds. The... More

Booked into the Continental Lodge at the last minute as we approached San Francisco. We chose it because of ratings on Expedia as well as the fact it was (reasonably) close to the BART station, as well as it being in Oakland and therefore cheaper than SF hotels. First impression was a little worrying - the neighborhood is a little... More

We stayed at this hotel for a campus tour of UC Berkeley. This hotel felt like a family run operation. The room furnishings were worn but clean. The beds were reasonably comfortable and bathroom reasonably clean. There were few electrical outlets for our electronics. Microwave and mini-fridge were helpful, and the little snacks were thoughtful. All in all, an okay... More

I booked this hotel via hotels.com because it was the right price. Unfortunately, the customer service isn't available as in they don't know what "customer service" is. I asked the maid not to service my room because I have a lot of valuables, I didn't want stolen from my room. When I got back from work one night my key... More

I'm one of those uber-snobby people when it comes to hotels. While friends backpacked through Europe staying at "dives" or on other people's beds, I absolutely refused to set foot in any country until I could afford "5-star" accommodations. I've simmered down quite a bit over the years, and these days, especially with layovers, I'm open to staying at virtually... More

this hotel actually surprised me - not so good neighborhood though. VERY comfy/huge King bed. Excellent in room amenities. TV great size screen a lot of channels. Coffee machine. Convenient power strip so we could charge all of our equipment. The only drawback was some stray client knocking at our door at 2am (but it is hard to blame for... More

When we arrived it was after dark, cold, windy and raining. All I wanted to do was get in the room and warm up. I went to the office door but it was locked. Rang both doorbells but nobody came. I figured the owners lived on the property next to the office so I knocked on the iron window bars... More

Stayed one night, was charged for three. Numerous calls (by me and hotels.com) to the owner resulted in promises to reverse the overcharge that were never honored. Do not trust the owner with your credit card information.

I booked this motel for just a night's stay since I was travelling through the area and did not want to spend a fortune. It is located in the rougher part of Oakland, off 880 freeway. The room that I got was surprising clean, nicely furnished with good beds. I was not too worried about the car because the parking... More
