Stayed here 4 nights and encountered a few small issues. Upon arrival into my room I noticed right away that the HVAC (air conditioner) had a "dirty smell" to it. I have been to the hotel many times and love coming back. The staff is great, if there ever is a problem they are quick to fix it and take care of me. Looking forward ot coming back in November. more

I stayed here for 5 nights while attending Oracle OpenWorld in SF. I was very pleased with my stay. I asked for a quiet room and got one facing the interior, which overlooks the pool area, parking lot, and large common patio of the adjacent condo building. The Courtyard Downtown is a good option for staying in Oakland. Clean, nice rooms and quiet. The exercise room is small and not very functional, but overall a decent value for the money if you have to stay downtown. more

This hotel is located in a great location. You can find restaurants within walking distance. And BART is only 2 blocks away. The rooms are clean. The housekeeping crew and the valet parking staff are friendly. However, some of their staffs in the front desk are just rude and discriminating. I came for Oracle Openworld. The show attracted 42,000 attendees, no wonder some of the 4-star hotels on the San Francisco side were charging $800 a nite. And why swim 20 minutes through the hordes in the Financial District to get to Moscone Convention Center when for just a little more time, you can BART it over from downtown Oakland?... more
