The good of this hotel is: clean rooms, staff cares-I saw them sweeping up cigarette butts in the parking lot, good landscaping upkeep. Location is close to O.co stadium. The bad is: the area of town is scary for a rural person. We were on the first floor and our neighbors smoked, it came into our room via the air... More

Arrived here at 1am after booking online. First impression was WAY better than expected given the area. It is a little off the beaten path but that's good! Room was clean Staff was friendly Bed was comfortable I would come back if I had an event at the collesium and didn't want to make the drive

We decided to stay in Oakland to avoid the high prices of San Francisco. Was thankful we were only there for one day. Getting to the hotel late at night seemed very sketchy. Very industrial which could be fine but not when you know Oaklands reputation. Got there around 10 and checked in, office smelled very distinctly like asian soup,... More

I came to this hotel because I'm a choice points member. I tried making a reservation online but their system was down. Not down enough to run my card but down enough not to give confirmation code. We go to the hotel tell them we tried to make reservations she charges us 85.00 dollars totally different then online keep in... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We came here by car, so it was not a problem to access to the hotel and San Francisco downtown. But the location is very odd, feels like in the middle of nowhere (or highway). You can easily go to San Francisco via Bay Bridge in 15-20 minutes. The room was not... More

This must be what it is like to live in a US Embassy. Inside the walled compound it is very well kept with roses, tile on the walkways and a nice clean fairly recently updated standard hotel room. Outside is where Oakland has a lot of its razor wire and graffiti. We walked a mile or mile and a half... More

We were on our 40th anniversary trip where we originally met in San Francisco. Not wanting to pay the inflated SF prices we decided to stay here based on reviews. Our room was upstairs away from the freeway so the room was very quiet. We requested this based on previous reviews. The floor was creaky so people downstairs probably heard... More

Basic motel in a little bit noisy area next to freeway. We had booked our rooms couple hour advance via mobile app, and everything went fine at check in. Our room was located in a building next to freeway and on firts floor, and you could hear everything from upstairs. Sometimes it felt like someone was going to fall through... More

The pros: it is close to freeway and to Oakland Coliseum for games. The cons: we prepaid a reservation and was told it was a hold even though we were told it was unrefundable. The carpet is greyed and loose, the shower curtain has mildew on it and the bathroom fan is rediculously loud. The furnishings have ding, rips and... More

Cheap location, fine for a night or Two if you are on a tight budget. Area nothing special, gas station about 6 min walk away but wouldn`t walk there after dark. My room was located in block near reception away from freeway so not really noisey but block by freeway probably not too good to sleep. Staff friendly.
