The grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are dated. We were in room 312. If they try to assign you that room ask to be moved. The heater is SO LOUD every time it turns on and off. The view from the patio is of a barb wire fence and private property sign. Not visually pleasing at all. I think... More

Imagine a motel where each floor is further up the side of a hill. You climb to the pool, go through the fenced in garden, then either go to the pool or down a set of stone steps to a separate hot tub. Walk up the hill to another level and enter a glassed in gym. Go down the hill... More

Kinda of a weird apartment/complex thing going on here. Each room opens to the outdoors, not a hotel hallway. Decor is very dated, circa 70's I'm guessing. Not old in a cool chic way. Just dated. Great location in the middle of Oakhurst and nearby Yosemite. Would not call this a destination, but fine if you are in town and... More

I love it here its so peaceful and comfortable. The staff is so kind and I intend to bring my family up here soon.Even the lobby is a beautiful site. I can't wait for my grandkids to stay here with me. I love that it's centrally located about a couple miles from my work assignment and I slept well.

Before I booked I called and said I wanted a king room with two queens attached and was told it was possible to accommodate us and 2 grandsons. Turned out they would have been in a completely different building which was not going to happen. So my son, his wife, daughter and two grandsons were crammed into a "family" unit... More

greeted by and oider grandma type that obviously was not impressed I was not caucasian. No smiles not welcoming no thanks . To my right a shrine to Ronald Reagan (political statements can be detrimental to business) She made me unwelcome. Restaurant barely eatable, food disorganized, need more help, slow. etc

We stayed 2 nights here while touring Yosemite National Park. Oakhurst is a nice sized community and it has grocery stores, restaurants etc. You can reach Yosemite easily if you stay in Oakhurst. This is a large property. Very pretty landscaping and rooms are a bit dated, but are very clean and comfortable. There is a little restaurant on the... More

We have stayed at the Yosemite Gateway Inn several times over the past few years while visiting Yosemite some 40 miles from the tunnel vista of Yosemite. This visit was several years after our last visit and we found the room to be getting a bit long in the tooth. The outward appearance of the Inn is great, as is... More

Visiting a National Park usually means booking reservations way in advance at the Lodge in the Park, spending gobs of money, and driving long distances on the day that I arrive. Yosemite National Park clearly contains all of the above attributes. I live in Los Angeles and drive to the Yosemite Valley at least once per year. Recently, I have... More

We recently took a trip to Bass Lake for their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Parade. We stayed in Oakhurst at the Best Western PLUS Yosemite Gateway Inn as we usually do. Our stay was no less than perfect! The hotel staff is extremely friendly and equally professional. The interior/exterior of the hotel is beautiful. The moment you walk in... More
