Rooms are clean, pools are nice, and staff is friendly. It's about a 45 minute drive to Yosemite and is much cheaper than anything you'll find closer or in the park. It's a busy hotel with lots of foreign tourist staying here. It's my second time staying here but I do not recommend the South Gate Restaurant. There's a wonderful... More

I would give this hotel 4 stars for the location and scenery. We stayed in Rooms 402 and 403 both of which had a great view. We were able to see the moon during our first night. Included in our nightly rate was 25% discount at the South Gate Restaurant. (Would have been better if breakfast was included) My only... More

Pros - pool, on-site restaurant with attentive staff & great breakfast, quirky styling, Cons - rude reception staff, noisy near outdoor pool & during evening Overall - good stopover for Yosemite visit, provided you don't expect too much

The hotel is on route to the south entrance of Yosemite. Room was large but indeed a bit dark. Well maintained. Breakfast place next door was busy but we thought the food was good and our waitress Jennifer was very friendly. It must be difficult at some days to keep all the nationalities with their special habits happy. We admired... More

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel while visiting Yosemite. We stayed in a suite with three queen beds, and really appreciated that it was laid out in a great way to increase the comfort of several adults staying together, with things like a sink and mirror outside of the bathroom as well as a door between a room with... There were some nice things about this hotel; like the rustic artwork, stone and wood, around the property. But I had a hard time imagining this place as a BW Plus property. If this was a regular BW property, I would give it 4 stars. Missed the free breakfast, although we were warned, and they offer a 25% breakfast discount... More

This motel was a little further that I thought from Yosemite but a welcome site after traveling through the park all day. The motel is some what dated, but our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We did miss not having breakfast, but not an issue. Nice little town with lots of restaurant options.

This was our favourite hotel on our California road trip . Our Room was large with 3 double beds for 5 of us. The room was clean and comfortable (although a bit dated) but we felt it went with the area and hotel .Beautiful gardens with wildlife around. There is also a nice restaurant attached which served breakfast and dinner... More

Oakhurst is the last “real” town when approaching Yosemite from the south, and Best Western Yosemite Gateway is a perfect choice for the traveler who prefers to have the amenities of an urban setting while in close range of a national park. Oakhurst has supermarkets, drug stores, gas stations and even a movie theatre, as well as multiple shops and... More

We stayed at this hotel whilst visiting Yosemite. Very close to main entrance and great base to explore. Hotel itself was very clean and rooms spacious. Not many places to eat out around Oakhurst but I expect most people are just there to visit Yosemite. Very good value too. Definitely would recommend.
