Staed for two nights to allow us to visit Yosemite.........there aren't many places to stay and this possibly offers the best value. There is more to Oakhurst than meets the eye..many of the shops are hidden to the right of the traffic lights on the main street and there are a few restaurants locally. This place is a four story building with no elevator just narrow stairways, hot narrow stairways. Our room had ants, we had to dump new packs of cookies because they were swarming with ants. And noisy, I could here every footstep from the people above us. The breakfast is a joke, very crowded with not enough seating and limited choices.... more

Oakhurst isn't exactly a tourist hotspot - I think most people (like us) were visiting Yosmite park, We arrived in the late afternoon and drove the main street looking at the motels available.
