Once again our stay at Chateau du Sureau could not have been better. The property is beautiful and in absolutely pristine condition. We've stayed in the Thyme and Camomile rooms and like the Thyme somewhat better as it's larger. This place is well worth the money. Staff is efficient and friendly, and the owner make one feel like you're at... More

Very exquisite elegant place, recondite in a beautiful French-style garden, which gives a peaceful romantic feeling. At first, when we arrived, we were surprised to not find a TV in the room, bud then we realized that it wouldn't be wanted here. However, we were promised to have WiFi, and that was missing on the first day, and all other... More

I am lucky to have stayed in several 4 star hotels and b&bs. NOTHING compares to the Chateau du Sureau. From the beautifully appointed room complete with tea sandwiches and fresh brewed iced tea and cookies upon arrival to the turndown service where they tucked a bookmark into my paperback, I savored every moment of being a guest. Emily and... More

My husband and I recently stayed here for 3 nights as part of a honeymoon tour of the USA. It was by far the most expensive accommodation of our holiday, however it was also by far the most comfortable and luxurious. From the moment of our arrival, when we were greeted at the front stairs by Leslie, we were made... More

We just returned from a week at Chateau du Sureau, celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. The trip was the latest in our ongoing love affair with the Chateau, a most magical and special place in our hearts. As always, the entire experience from arrival to departure was simply fabulous. Proprietor Erna Kubin-Clanin has created an oasis of calm, elegance, personalized... More

As soon as the gates opened we knew this was going to be a great weekend. We read reviews so we knew what to expect. From the moment we arrived the staff was warm and friendly and very attentive. We were given a tour of the Hotel and property then shown our room and given a light snack. We were told that... More

We have traveled many places within the U.S. and several countries staying at some really nice hotels, but none compare to this special place. From the time you enter the gate you are given incredible service with a genuine smile. If you are looking for a place of solitude away from the hustle and bustle of everyday, this is the... More

It's is perhaps the swankiest place to stay nearby to Yosemite. The suite was lovely. The spa (I had a massage) had a welcoming and attractive environment with professional staff. The restaurant offered delightdul food and wine menu, but it was way over the top with costs. We paid $450 one night for dinner and wine (okay wine was a... More

Absolutely fell in love with Chateau du Sureau! My husband and I stayed here after 4 days of hiking in beautiful Yosemite. Upon entering the beautifully manicured premises, we were immediately greeted on the steps by the welcoming staff. The Chateau is as beautiful inside as out--impeccably decorated with old world charm. The staff are attentive, friendly and provided a... More

Staying at Chateau du Sureau is a unique experience. Outstanding service! The rooms have all the right special touches. And not to mention Erna's Elderberry House, a special experience by itself. Looking forward to my next visit
