Whilst the quality of the rooms and the food have been mentioned on other reviews there were a few things we thought could have made our stay more enjoyable. The information on Yosemite is a bit limited, given that most guests are staying there to visit the park and every morning the staff seemed to be asked the same questions,... More

Chateau du Sureau is an absolute gem and one of the most unique and charming hotels we have ever stayed at in North America. From the moment we arrived at this Relais & Chateaux property and were greeted by a butler and a hostess in a French maid outfit, we knew this would be a very special and unique stay.... More

This was very delicious dining experience. The food was not only wonderful, but the presentation was ultimate and the combination of foods was delightful . They have a prefixed menu, but you can get a la carte. I'm not one to buy the prefixed because I don't eat that much. I had the prefixed meal and I am glad. The... More

The pictures on line hardly do this fabulous hotel justice. You are greeted as you arrive and escorted about the property. A bit later, they bring you a little "refreshment" (we received fresh made ice tea and a small sandwich of smoked chicken on homemade bread) to your room. Anything you ask for, they do their very best to accommodate.... More

This time here, my husband and I came in the summer time. In the past, we have been in April/October, so sometimes there was snow on the ground, or it was cooler (not pool weather). We wanted to enjoy it at a different season. The Chateau still has the same class and charm it has always had. No fireplace going... More

This is a truly beautiful place to stay, the house is filled with fine furnishings, rooms have luxurious linens & are extremely comfortable, we had Sweet Geranium situated on the ground floor, it has a large bathroom with sunken bath with overhead shower, L'Occitaine toiletries. We had a small balcony with a view of garden & swimming pool. The very... More

We stayed two nights while visiting Yosemite....We were greeted at the door by the gracious owner and showed our rooms. They were lovely, spacious and the bathrooms well appointed. The beds were comfortable (and the chocolates on our pillow delicious)....the staff made every effort to be accommodating. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and ate breakfast (included) outside. Feel free to... More

This Chateau is a gem to experience. The Chateau was built new to resemble a French Chateau 100s of years Los, and the attention to detail is no less than outstanding. Add to the beautiful rooms, main common areas, grounds, and a high class restaurant, the staff is beyond outstanding. Nothing is too much for the benefit of the guests.... More

My goodness, who would have thought this little, nine room hotel just south of Yosemite would be so wonderful. Everything was perfect, from the greetings by the staff, to the chateau itself, our wonderful corner room (Lavender Room), to the pleasant grounds, and the delightful breakfast. Of course the food and service at our dinner at the Elderberry Restaurant met,... More

This gem has been on my hotel bucket list for years and we finally had the opportunity to stay recently. From the minute those beautiful gates opened, we knew we had entered paradise.. We were met at the front of the Chateau by two very friendly and helpful staff members. While one took us on a tour of the property,... More
