Pros: The "Park" is one of the few that is close to SF and the wine country. Cons: The *EXPENSIVE* "Park" largely consists of permanent manufactured housing and full time residents in older RVs. The few spaces designated for short term campers are tight, graveled spaces which are mostly without trees or shade. The "dog exercise" area had a small... More

We arrived at around 4pm on a sunday. The host was okay, showed us what what what. 5pm we wanted to go swimming, but the pool was closed (?) the Deli was closed, even the little house where the garbage was to be dumped was closed. You cannot bbq, you are beside highway 101 (with the noise), so why should... More

This place was a ripoff. Expensive and unattractive. Yes, there is a pool, shower, and laundry facilities but we did not hang out long enough to use. It is right next to 101 and very noisy. It did seem like a place for dying mobile homes too. We came after 5 pm and left early in the AM.

Small urban park with great location on the 101. No amenities other than a pool. Independently owned Deli on site that has outstanding food, freshly made by wonderful owners. Close to SF, wine country and shore. Shopping close by with easy access to freeway. Have stayed here many times and would again.

For $65 bucks a night this should be the Taj Majal! This park is very overrated by Good Sam. Although it is clean, RVs that surround the grounds appear to have been there for many years without moving. Most of them probably won't be able to move if needed. There are about 15 sites, (if that) that are for actual... More

First of all, this place is clean, with convenient bathrooms and showers that seem well maintained. It is not however, a place you want to go to hang out with friends and loved ones. It is a convenient place to park if you want to drive into San Francisco during the day and drive back, to sleep in your RV... More

we have stayed here twice; both times for more than a week. it is very convenient if you are visiting family or friends in the East Bay (as you miss the traffic going into San Francisco) or if you're visiting people in Marin. Novato RV park is close to all kinds of big stores (costco, target, etc) plus grocery &... More

We called to confirm our reservation on Sunday at 5:15 PM. The answering service told us the office closes at 5:00 PM EVERY day. The lady told us to pull into the park and our site # should be on the door. We had reserved a pull-through. We found our site and it was not a pull-through due to the... More

We stayed here a week while sightseeing in the San Francisco area. The park is very clean and sites are a little close but nice. The best thing about Novato RV Park is that, while there is stop and go traffic on 101 going north, it stopped every night at our exit but we were getting off. I would have... More

This is a park of mostly permanent residents. Their mobile homes and rv's and the area around them are filled with old junk and random items. It was very depressing to stay there for even one night. However it seemed safe and the bathrooms were clean. There was no grass, very little shade and the freeway noise is a constant... More
