I love the idea of this hotel, but found it not to accessible. This appears to be an America's Best Value motel wrapped in different clothing. Check in went well, but I was given a map to my room with a line drawn to my room. I drove around what I thought to be in the correct direction - the... More

My wife reviewed this property about a week ago. I am following up. When we decided to leave, because the room we very specifically reserved was not available, the girl at the desk told us a manager would be contacting us Monday (which would have been 8/11). We have heard nothing. We checked our American Express account for several days... More

I stayed for an event was at the Conference Center. Check in was pleasant. The room was OK and bed was nice and comfortable but the pillows were lacking. It was after 10 pm when I checked in and no food available. The bar was nice, but the music was loud. Could hardly talk to my friends across the table... More

My room was very clean and the double size bed comfortable. The double sheeting and top cover in white, you knew is fresh for your stay. The bed has four large pillows. My room was very small and I'm sure at one time military housing. Although the room was small it was comfortable and I was at a nearby conference... More

What many don't realize is this is revamped military housing for the most part. Rooms are VERY small, very old and nothing charming to write home about. My husband went over early ( we had a bunch of people from a nearby event booked here) to see if we could check in before the 3pm time frame. The desk clerk... More

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while attending a conference. On arriving I noted the rooms opened to the street. This was not obvious in the hotel pictures. The hotel is in a very bad neighborhood and as I was alone I felt very unsafe. The room was dirty with stains and lipstick on the duvet (not mine). The bathroom was also nasty... The short version: someone had been using my room (one of the "suites") unbeknownst to the hotel staff (had rigged the doors from closing all the way). When moved across the hall, found the same issue with the doors being rigged open. Not safe at all. Accommodations are egregious. The long version: I checked into the hotel on a Saturday... More

First of all, the location of this hotel is right smack in the middle of the ghetto. That alone should discourage people from staying there. However, in our case, we didn’t have a lot of choice because we were attending a cat show, also at the McClellan facility, and the hotel was somewhat convenient to that location. After spending a... I had two weekend conferences to attend at Lion's Gate. rooms assigned were very different. #1 downstairs was roomy. #2 upstairs was small, the bathroom pockets door would not close. No elevator to the second floor. Steps were like a fire exit ( steep and metal). Made it difficult to carry luggage and materials for conference, Venue #1 had meetings... More
