We stayed here for 3 nights, very nice. Great location right across from the beach and parking is Included, parking in the Newport area turned out to be a pain. We did NOT rent bikes but that looked like the way to get around. The hotel has beach towels/boogie boards/ a few chairs/umbrellas for guests to use for free. The... More

This is absolutely our new go-to hotel in Newport Beach. We had looked at this place before but thought it may be too far away from the Crab Cooker. Not at all. This location is actually far preferable over hotels nearer Newport Pier. It is close enough to walk or bike all the way to the Wedge (Newport Harbor) but... More

Love this place. Right across from the beach. It's a no frills place but very clean and nice staff. There's a bicycle rental place right next door and we rented bikes for cheap. 24 hours for $15.00. Also a great little restaurant next door serves pretty good breakfast. Friendly atmosphere.

The room was very clean, and I am very particular on cleanliness. We had room 227 and it was very quiet and looked out over a little park. The motel is old but updates had been made. Only one block from the beach and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. This is a great bargain and sure to please families... More

Perfect little hotel if you just want to stay at the beach in Newport without spending a ton of money. The hotel lets you borrow beach towels, beach chairs and body boards. A walk across the street and you are at the beach. Rooms are clean and updated. Ours had a microwave and a refrigerator. The hotel is located on... More

During one of my work trips to the west coast, I had a chance to partake in a little beach time on the weekend. My friend and I decided to head down to Newport Beach to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown LA. My friend found the Newport Channel Inn for the night we stayed. It’s located... More

I had a great experience staying here. The location is fantastic, about a 4 minute walk to the beach. The hotel itself is a bit old but nicely maintained for a place that gets a lot of salt air and - I imagine - stays pretty well booked throughout the year. The staff were fantastic. They seem to love what... More

I planned a visit to this area for myself and my husband, our 5-year-old grandson, and my sister. I had never been to the area, so I relied heavily on Tripadvisor reviews when making my plans. Based on reviews, I selected this hotel for its beach access and relatively low cost. I found the hotel to be clean and comfy,... More

We've been staying at The Newport Channel Inn for over 15yrs and have never been disappointed. It's always clean and the owners are friendly and helpful. Every year they add or do something new to improve the place. They provide nice beach chairs, bogey boards and beach towels , just one less thing to pack. This year we stayed in... More
