My wife and I have stayed numerous times at the Hyatt NB. It is always a relaxing and fun stay. The rooms are not the greatest and the hotel grounds could use some work but it is worth. We have always went on priceline the day or day before our arrival and usually get a room for under a $100... more

We arrived at the Hyatt Newport Beach for the second half of our mini-staycation. We had just checked out of the Hyatt Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, where we had been properly impressed. Our first impression of the Hyatt Newport Beach was the smell in the lobby. While not exactly an “odor” it was distinctive. Like my grandmother. While not... more

Won the Hyatt Newport Beach on Priceline, so I'm willing to cut them some slack as a result of the bargain rate. Here's the reality: - $19 for self-parking, down the hill and not convenient for hauling luggage. Drop off luggage before parking. Seriously. Valet is something like $27/overnight. Rip-off. - $10.95 for wireless internet. Slow, but okay. - My... more

I should start off by saying that we only paid $80 for this hotel, becuase we booked through Priceline; however, if we paid full price $180, we would have been very disappointed. Our room was very small, on the first floor and right next to the pool. It is an older hotel (which I normally don't mind), but this felt... more

I would like to correct Trip advisor and a few reviewers: Hyatt Regency Newport Beach is NOT classified as a resort... at least not by Hyatt. So, not a resort, but they still have a golf course (9 hole, 3 par), a few pools, shuffle board court, an area for croquet and bocce ball, a restaurant on site, as well... more

We were looking to get out of LA for one night over memorial day weekend, and just did a priceline bid for the OC coast and got accepted here at $54. We were pretty happy, but would have been disappointed for any more. Big resort, three buildings with rooms, 3 pools, mini-golf course. Pluses: The room was fairly big, had... more

We just returned from staying at the Hyatt Newport Beach, I read the reviews prior to our stay and was a little worried. I am so pleased I did not fall into what the negative reviews said. We had a wonderful experience, our room overlooked the marina and the little golf course, the décor was up to date and the... more

We stayed at the Hyatt for a few days over the Easter Break. We booked two rooms and both were fine with a view of one of the pools. The hotel rooms are in blocks with a central reception area. The rooms were pleasantly decorated in bright colours and were very clean. The hotel grounds are tasteful and spacious. We had breakfast each... more

Got the room from Priceline for less than half rack rate, about a third. The thing to know about this hotel is that it is the former Del Webb Newporter, I beleive, bought by Hyatt and basically painted up. There is an older section closer to the biggest pool with many rooms that do look rather run down, with smaller... more

My friends and I wanted a weekend away to celebrate the end of the semester so we spent two nights at the Hyatt and boy was it a disappointment. The rooms are old and like many reviewers have said, really need to be renovated. Bathrooms are small and cramped, not fun with four girls in a room. Service at the... more
