It is a very nice clean and trendy looking joint, just what you would expect from a W. Yet usually the W is hoppin'-- this place is not. There is literally nothing around, and you definitely need a car to get anywhere. It has very large comfy rooms, bigger than almost any W I have been to. And of course... more

The hotel room was nice and clean but the hotel was like a ghost town! It was empty the entire time we were there. Upon check-in we were told that the restaurant and room service was closed on the weekends because of the economy. They did however offer to go get us food, should we need it. When we returned... more

The hotel was very quiet for a W. Not much going on and not much to do in the immediate area. W tried addressing the problem by stationing the Acura driving experience here. The car was intended to give guests a driving experience somewhere local, but I didn't see anyone utilize it once during my stay. This hotel is not... more

HOTEL REVIEW # 167 W Silicon Valley MY TRAVEL STYLE: If possible, I try to stay away from business hotels and strongly prefer resorts that resemble the Four Seasons, Aman, and Oberoi but try to find similar properties at lower cost. I seek out the “wow” experiences and I encourage you to view hotels I have stayed at and their... more

I stay at this hotel often, as I love the W bed, and the rates are very good for the quality. However, this trip had several problems, one of which makes the hotel instantly much less useful for the foreseeable future. Their "hi-speed" Internet service apparently "had some problems", so they have lowered the connection speed to 256kbps! It still... more

I stay at the W a few times a year when I am visiting the bay area on a weekend because their rates are often very good Fri - Sun. I can generally count on the room being spacious and clean, the bed being fabulously comfortable, and the bathroom to be clean with great Bliss toiletries. However, my experience with... more

I love the W Newark which has the luxury amenities of a 4-star hotel at a 3-star price on weekdays and is a terrific value with a 2-star price on Thu-Sat nights. Book either the "website only" price through W directly or try a discounter website for an even better price. (W is the only 4-star rated hotel in Newark/Fremont... more

I have always loved W Hotels advertising campaigns and their brand image, but have never stayed in one due to cost prohibitiveness with my company travel policy. One finally became available under our price point, so I booked immediately. There were clear pros and cons to this hotel, but overall, it did not meet my expectations (which does not necessarily... more

Apprehensive having read some of the reports, however overall I was very impressed. We had the kids and the double bedroom option made for a great stay. As you would expect the rooms and the bed were first class - looking tired in places but not that it spoiled the stay. We like the touch of a washer/dryer laundry room... more

Really a great hotel - with only one mediocre thing to say about this place - and that is that i had to call the front desk 3 times to get a second robe in my room. Otherwise the good stuff includes: 1. Huge rooms - mini suites location actually 2. Great deals on the wknds (only $95 was my... more
