First time we stayed at the campground due to the fact that Scott's Flat Campground was full. The sites are quite large. They even have a handicap site, which we have never seen before. One loop of sites is large enough to accommodate RVs. Pat is very attentive, and very friendly. Only problem we experienced was the sheer number of... More

White Cloud campground is great. My friends and I camped (tents) and had an enjoyable stay. White Cloud is close to the town of Washington and the river, and close to many hiking trails which makes it nice. We took a drive to Malakoff Diggins from the campground and it was a great short drive. I will definitely go back... More

Loved the campground itself, spacious sites, exceptionally clean... the only campground I've been to in 3 years of frequent camping where the sites were raked and the roads blown clean.... Lovely area, lots of woods.... Pat and her dog Pumpkin were wonderful, exceedingly friendly and ready to help... never been to a campsite where the host will deliver wood to... More

It was our first visit to White Cloud and we made reservations and found out when we arrived that it never fills up, so their is no need to make reservations. We loved the size of the sites. If you go pick a site farthest away from route 20, because you do hear cars all day and night. The only... More

We love White Cloud campground. Love the spacious area and the friendly people. It is well taken care of with clean bathrooms. We Like that it is rarely full of people, so you can really feel like your camping instead of in a crowded neighborhood. I have very good hearing and hardly ever notice the traffic on hwy 20. we... Our 8 '08 experience at White Cloud Campground is similar to the other review posted in 2007. The plus side of the location is: easy drive to Nevada City, Grass Valley, Truckee & all Historic Gold Country interests. Mountain biking, hiking, ...., horse camps & riding trails, boating, general outdoor recreation is readily available in Nevada County. No need to... More

Right off of Highway 20, on the way to Truckee from Nevada City, CA, one can find the quiet campground of White Cloud. Part of the US National Forest Service system, White Cloud has few amenities compared to State and National Park campgrounds: no showers, no electricity, minimal bathrooms (no sinks), and few activities. And yet, the campsite charge is... More
