Just had a great weekend, staying with Barbara & Ken at their new Madison House (the former name is The Parsonage). Madison House is located on Broad Street, the center of Nevada City, and has parking, which is a great convenience, but quiet as if its miles away. Each room is differently decorated in the Victorian/Nevada County style. As a... More

We stayed at this wonderful B&B in Nevada City to celebrate our anniversary. The hosts, Ken & Barbara, were very friendly and made our overnight visit a very pleasant stay. The location was excellent as it was located right on the main street to restaurants and shops. As we were leaving the next morning, Barbara rushed outside to our car... More

We were first time Visitors to Nevada City and the Parsonage B&B (soon to be renamed the Madison House) was the perfect place to stay. The new owners, Ken and Barbara, were the perfect hosts in making our stay comfortable and relaxing. Beautifully appointed Victorian style house. Beds were comfortable, the breakfasts were wonderful. We just felt like we were... More

My son reserved this B&B for us and does he ever have good taste! The Parsonage which is in the process of being renamed Madison House by the new owners, is a lovely 1865 Victorian home that has all the upgrades of modern life while keeping the charming details of another period. The room we had was called the Victorian... More

When we stayed here last September, the new owners just took over the Inn and they where busy moving their personal stuff in. This never hampered us and the innkeepers did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. A great breakfast is served in the morning! The building itself is an old Victorian style house, nicely decorated with... More

We just returned from our stay at The Parsonage, and loved everything about it. The decor is beautiful, the breakfast was delicious, the cookies still warm when we arrived, and the location is convenient to the historical town and next door to the Nevada Theater where we attended a play. What really made the visit memorable, however, was the warm... More

Based on other reviews here and its location in downtown Nevada City, I took a chance and booked the Victorian room back in July for two nights. But, the minute I started talking with Abigail, I knew I wasn't taking a chance - I had hit the jackpot! I've been back two more times since. My room was gorgeous with... More

The Parsonage has been our easy go-to Mom & Daughter get away for ten years because IT IS THE BEST. We've stayed elsewhere but it is really just a two thumbs up kind of a place. Love the hosts. We went recently to attend the California World Music Festival and Abigail gave us a red paper Chinese umbrella for the... More

Abigail and Bill are friendly and accommodating. The Parsonage is perfect located and easy walks to everything downtown. Great breakfast! Abigail is a fantastic cook - and makes you feel so welcome. Highly recommended.

Our six nights at The Parsonage in the "Miner's Cabin" were just perfect for my sister and I. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. My sister said it felt like we " were waking up in a perfect dollhouse each day". The Inn was spotlessly clean inside but the grapevine enclosed front deck called to us every morning and evening,...
