My husband and I stayed at The Madison House for one night, and it was such a pleasant stay! When we arrived, we were welcomed by the B&B owners Barbara and Ken. They showed us our room 'The Victorian'. It was lovely and spacious, with a nice bathroom that included a claw foot tub (this room is in the backside... More

We stayed in the Victorian Room and loved its quaint charm. The little details such as glass cups, coasters, magazines, and super thick towels were appreciated. The room was clean with a restful blue color scheme. We were able to step out the front door to an amazing adventure through intriguing shops. We watched a play a block down the... More

A restored Victorian house with a small wrap-around porch, shaded by a grapevine, and gracious interior. We needed a quick get-away between intense work commitments, and chose this bed and breakfast based on the good reviews and the location, on a close edge of the downtown area. Proprietors Ken and Barbara greeted us warmly, as did Madison, the couple's old... More

We had a short stay here for a wedding back in November. My wife booked it for us. It was a very cute and quite. The owners were very accommodating and sweet. Centrally located, short walk to shops and restaurants.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Victorian room. Ken and Barbara were very attentive to our needs which made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was very good and we would come back for another stay. The location was fantastic, you could walk out the front door and be directly in The heart of Nevada City.

Barbara and Ken are a delight. They have improved the home and garden so much! The home has a contemporary elegance feeling while nestled in this little historic town. A sit on the front porch is a must. Great place to stay mid-week to get away from it all and relax or on one of the many 'parade' weekends. You... More

As a traveling musician, I run into my fair share of lodging nightmares. This was far from it, in fact, it was a dream come true. The owners welcomed us as their own family. The room was clean and quaint and the breakfast was truly sensational. I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for the great nights sleep!

After having a horrific nights sleep in another local hotel, Barbara and Ken graciously welcomed us short noticed into their lovely B&B. The room was clean, the towels were wonderfully plush and soft, and the food was excellent. Barbara and Ken were very helpful in local places to eat, local hikes, and were happy meet any accommodation we needed. Would... More

We had a great stay. The location is phenomenal - we could walk to all the restaurants and shops (they had off-street parking.) The bed was comfortable - we were in the front of the house, which was the priest's original bedroom. The breakfast was very good, and Barbara and Ken were super helpful. Thanks!

We stayed at the Madison house, in the gold room, for our twenty year wedding anniversary and really enjoyed our visit. The rooms are beautiful, the owners friendly and the breakfast was delicious! We would highly recommend.
