Was able to talk my wife into a last minute getaway to Nevada City and began by checking highly rated places on Tripadvisor. Turned out that one of the highest rated B&B's had a room available. So we booked the GiGi room for two nights. What a pleasure! Ruth, the resident manager and gourmet cook, was there to greet us... More

My wife, 3-yr old daughter and I stayed here over the weekend. The property is very well maintained and all rooms were renovated but still had plenty of the victorian era charm. Ruth, the innkeeper, is very kind and offered us wine in the afternoon and prepared delicious and hearty breakfasts. Nice backyard with a lawn along the creek that... More

A beautiful Victorian on a quiet street just steps away from the shops and restaurants of historic Nevada City. The grounds behind the house are a lovely place to walk, with trees, flowers, and a lawn that leads to the edge of the creek. Our innkeeper, Ruth, was the perfect hostess, and she encouraged us to help ourselves to the... More

We needed to take a trip to the NEvada City area at the last minute and were lucky enough to find the Deer Creek Inn. This property is just lovely. The buidling itself has a wonderful history and the property overlooks Deer Creek which is both peaceful and beautiful. THe breakfast was delicious and the hospitality was warm and personal.... More

This was our first B&B experience! Miss Ruth was warm and welcoming. We stayed in Gigi's room which had a private entrance and view of Deer Creek! I loved walking and soaking my feet while sipping wine! Breakfast was a quiche, fresh fruit from the farmer's market, roasted potatoes, and a wonderful pastry with berries from the farmer's market! Love... More

Deer Creek Inn was a wonderful surprise as our first b&b experience and our expectations were far surpassed. When we first arrived, we were greeted at the door by our wonderful hostess Ruth and then given a short historical tour of the house, completed with a delicious glass of wine. We were amazed at how well this historical home had... More

We were in Nevada City, California, this weekend for a family wedding and had the pleasure of staying at the Deer Creek Inn. After a long day of traveling from Boston, we were warmly greeted by Ruth, the innkeeper, who gave us a tour and history of this wonderful Victorian B&B. We stayed in the Sheryl Room on the second... The Deer Creek Inn is one of the best B&Bs we've been to. The building itself is charming and exceptionally well cared for. The grounds are quiet and well maintained, and they border Deer Creek. The yard is a great place to sit and relax. The hostess, Ruth, makes her guests feel welcome and at home. Breakfast is a gourmet... More

This is the B & B to go to! The Victorian is beautiful inside & out. The rooms are comfortable. Ruth, the innkeeper makes you feel at home. An easy walk to the city's main street area. Only downside, we had to go home. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Nevada City.

What a perfect get away. This lovely Victorian B&B is located away from the hustle and bustle of Nevada City's Main Street and is situated directly alongside Deer Creek. Sitting on one of the park benches along side the creek shaded by mature trees and listening to the water bubbling by, you get lost in your thoughts. We stayed in... More
