So I knew I'd be tired at about 11 hours of driving and there would be nothing else for another two hours, so I stayed in Needles. And I was pleasantly surprised to find this rather inexpensive, clean, quiet, sorta out of the way, 'motor lodge'. Get off the freeway and drive through town, it's the 50-60's again. Easy to... More

This place worked well for us when passing through Needles CA and needing a place to crash for the night. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The price was reasonable when you are only spending a few hours and just want a good nights sleep. We were happily surprised to have a microwave and fridge in our room. It seemed... More

Large clean room, comfortable bed good WiFi at a reasonable price. We stayed in one of the recently renovated rooms which has a fridge, microwave and coffee making facilities and decent air con. Nothing fancy, but excellent value for money. Didn't try out the pool, but it looked clean and well maintained.

Awesome old school version of the old motor lodges that still exist on Route 66 and other 'motoring' routes in the US. Cheap, convenient to I-40, on Route 66 and minutes away from retail. Room was clean, if dated, typical amenities. I think we paid $50 or so for one night. There is a pool, but we did not swim.... More

Currently being renovated, this was a fabulous find. The room is large with king size bed, microwave, fridge, TV, air con and fan and super fast wifi and all for under $50! On Route 66, the edge of the Mohave Desert and near Joshua Tree NP

I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high for the River Valley Inn mainly because the price was so low. I was beyond surprised by what we got when we arrived. From the exterior, it looks like an older motel, but we found that our king room was very spacious and seemed recently remodled. The large room had a... More

Now known as the River Valley Inn, this motel was so much better than anywhere else I have ever stayed in it's price range. The motel is right on Route 66 and my inclusive cost was less than $42 . The location is quiet and about a mile from I40. The room (#9) was outstanding. It was large, clean and... More

Typical Route 66 motel but we got a newly remodeled room. If you get to choose go for a room that has a white door - those are their new rooms. Didn't see inside the other rooms but the one we had was great. AC wasn't on when we walked in and the wifi wasn't the strongest but for $38... More

This motel is GREAT! It's old, and in some ways run down but for under $40 per night (one person AARP discount) you get a decent size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, very hot water with very strong water pressure, a good strong air conditioner unit. The king bed was quite comfortable, the towels were relatively new and thankfully... More
