This was our second stay at Dunbar House. Greeted with a warm welcome from Crystal. We stayed in the Ponderosa room upstairs this time. Last time, we had the Sequoia downstairs. Gotta say, liked both rooms. So charming and comfortable. The Keurig machine in the rooms was added since our last stay. Loved it. As previously said, it is great... More

We have stayed numerous times at the Dunbar House and have never been disappointed. It is great to be within walking distance of many great wine tasting rooms and restaurants. Innkeepers Arline and Rich do a wonderful job of keeping the house charming and comfortable, the breakfasts are wonderful! A great place to unwind for a few days!

The Dunbar House has an excellent location just a block from downtown Murphys. Innkeeper Arline has excellent hospitality. She can recommend excellent restaurants like Alchmey which is where we ate that night. The room was very homey which included a closed in porch connecting the private bath and bedroom. Within the porch there was a refrigerator, Jacuzzi, and table for... More

This is the second time we have stayed at the Dunbar House and it was just as lovely. The rooms are charming and very comfortable with nice amenities. The house is in the perfect location for staying in Murphys. It is in walking distance of all the wine bars, restaurants and shops. The breakfast was delicious and generous. We really... More

Our over all experience was absolutely wonderful. We were celebrating my 61st b-day, and our 14th wedding anniversary. The innkeepers are very friendly, and they take excellent care of this Victorian home, and the very attractive grounds / gardens. We met some friends that live in Murphys for dinner on Sunday evening--and we enjoyed the restaurant called "Grounds". Plus, we... More

Celebrated a 2 day anniversary get away on a Thursday and Friday and it was our first time staying at a B&B. Very charming room with nice amenities and the breakfast was wonderful. But we did not receive complimentary wine or appetizers as "promised" when we booked our room and did not feel our place to have to ask. However,... More

This was a great way to spend my birthday in this charming B&B and the town of Murphys. We were spending two days at the elephant sanctuary in San Andreas called PAWS, "Performing Animal Welfare Society" and they selected the B&B for us. We had never been to the Sierra Foothills before and we found the area quite beautiful. We... More

We really needed to get away and unwind. Wow did this do it! Every day there were appetizers with wine and beer, home made cookies, fudge and more, fabulous breakfast on our own patio (we had the Sequoia Room). The grounds - just beautiful. The hosts and staff very friendly and professional - if you want information or to chat,... More

What a super experience we had at this beautiful B&B! We loved our cozy attic room. It was well furnished. It had a nice antique flavor, and the cookies, wine. and appetizers just hit the spot! The breakfast was a feast that incorporated delicious food and a beautiful presentation . Well done! We enjoyed walking through the well-kept gardens and... More

And the cake is so good you get to eat it too! For Breakfast! These folks really know how to do things up right! The accomodations are superb. The location is superb. Their hospitality and attention to detail..again, superb. But the Breakfasts...beyond superb! They are masterpieces. And then there are the afternoon appetizers in your room plus scrumptious cookies and... More
