Awesome place to stay and it's location was perfect, view of the front porch and garden was extraordinary. We stayed in the Sequoia room and couldn't have asked for more. Just about every amenities, you can think off was available as well as cookies in your room, a Keurig coffee maker with assorted coffee, tea and hot chocolate, refrigerator with... More

Beautiful home and garden in a quiet area just off Main Street. Excellent breakfast and housekeeping. We stayed in the Cedar room which would be wonderful for anyone but especially for old folks like us in that it is on the ground floor with a sitting area separate from the sleeping area and a private deck overlooking the garden.

Wonderful place, location and amenities as well as great owners. We stayed in the Sequoia Room and loved the king sized bed, great views of the front porch and garden as well as the large spa tub to relax in after a long day of walking and drinking wine. Breakfast was a delicious fritatta and fruit with orange juice, coffee/tea!... More

My husband and I often go to Murphy's for our anniversary. After a very dissatisfying visit to our previous B & B in Murphy's, we decided to try Dunbar House. What a world of difference. We had a wonderful room - Sugar Pine. The bed was comfy with a beautiful balcony that looked out at green trees. It is with... More

I needed to get away from the SF Bay Area for some much needed relaxation and return to nature but didn't want to make the long trip this year for my "Oregon fix." I love the Sierra foothills and had driven through Murphys but never stayed there, but after reading about Dunbar House and having a fantastically warm and inviting... More

Nice place, perfect location steps from downtown Murphys, and owners who truly have thought of every comfort -- from candy and nuts in the dining room to a Kindle in your room (right next to the well-stocked Keurig). Would definitely stay at the Dunbar again.

What a great place. From the moment you arrive you just feel so comfortable that its like being home with family and friends. The house is spectacular, very nicely decorated, the grounds are beautiful and the location can't be beat. We had the Sequoia Room which was tremendous. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch reading... More

This was our second stay at Dunbar House. Greeted with a warm welcome from Crystal. We stayed in the Ponderosa room upstairs this time. Last time, we had the Sequoia downstairs. Gotta say, liked both rooms. So charming and comfortable. The Keurig machine in the rooms was added since our last stay. Loved it. As previously said, it is great... More

We have stayed numerous times at the Dunbar House and have never been disappointed. It is great to be within walking distance of many great wine tasting rooms and restaurants. Innkeepers Arline and Rich do a wonderful job of keeping the house charming and comfortable, the breakfasts are wonderful! A great place to unwind for a few days!

The Dunbar House has an excellent location just a block from downtown Murphys. Innkeeper Arline has excellent hospitality. She can recommend excellent restaurants like Alchmey which is where we ate that night. The room was very homey which included a closed in porch connecting the private bath and bedroom. Within the porch there was a refrigerator, Jacuzzi, and table for... More
