The Inn is a cute place from the outside and the website markets the location as a nice getaway. The rooms are not very clean and the furniture is worn and fairly dirty as well. The walls are paper thin so you can hear activities from other room and I woke up twice in the middle of the night from... More

If you are looking for a bed and breakfast, pub, restaurant, beach, views, hiking, fishing, sunbathing, nature walks, don't come here because it has it all and more. Charming, homey, great food, great pub menu, good beer selection, and cute rooms. What more can I say. I like the people that work there.

This establishment has absolutely no idea what customer service is all about. We were supposed to arrive by 4.30pm but got caught in traffic, as a result we were 5 minutes late. The boy on the front desk had booked off his shift and no one else would see to us so we had to wait for 25 minutes until... More

A short drive from Muir Woods, my relative take us to this wonderful place for lunch, as we enter this Inn, for a moment we feel the time clock transfer us to another century, maybe somewhere in England some 100 years ago, the garden dinning room cover with a bougainvillea plant in bloom on the roof, the lunch turn out... I'm from the UK and decided to take my friend visiting from London for a pub lunch at the Pelican Inn - I an definitely missing my British pubs living in Marin. The building itself is beautiful and the interior very twee. A little too dark for my liking - I know our pubs can be small and dingy back... More

What a respite from bland hotel and motel rooms. The Olde English decor is such a relief from formica that its worth overlooking the flaws mentioned by the other reviewers. The first time we stayed here we were in the back, and the ventilation unit was noisy from the first floor kitchen, This time we were in the front, overlooking... More

Pelican Inn is a 2-story hotel with Tudor architecture, with a pub and dining room, and authentic English cuisine. For lunch, the menu is less formal, and one finds "bangers" as well as fish and chips. For dinner, the menu is more formal, and one finds, for example, Beef Wellington and Curry Blackened Lamb Sirloin. (Please note that, according to... More

My wife and I spent many years living in England, and in our opinion the Pelican Inn is as close to an English pub/inn that we have seen in the States. Of course, an English pub/inn is not up everyone's alley. The rooms and corridors can be small and dark, the pub can be loud when you are trying to... More

Arrived on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and the place was packed! Happy people having a fun afternoon. It was very poplar that day. But then, it is a tiny place with tiny rooms and narrow hall was and stairs. And it is not hard to see how easy it is to fill this place up. Very "old english pub" theme... More
