Pros: Close to lots of shops/restaurants Price Friendly front desk staff Free wi-fi Free parking Felt safe Cons: Old rooms Phone/lamp didn't work No elevator Barely any amenities in room (not even a cup) Free breakfast horrible! Greasy sausage, eggs with America cheese, stale breads (like it's been sitting in the refrigerator); cereal tasted like generic supermarket brand, awful coffee

Hotels should provide two things: comfortable beds, and quiet. This hotel is very loud. The first room I was put it suffered long periodic bouts of loud mechanical humming. I think this was coming form the ice machine, which was crammed under a stairwell against the walls so that the sound transduced directly into the structure. I moved to a... More

Below average room Ancient TV (older than me for sure) No staircase Below average breakfast With all that they charged $300 !!! Seriously, I booked something in a hurry, and I was hoping to find a good place to stay for the price that they charged, and it turned out to be one of the worst hotel that I have... More

I searched a long time to find a hotel that was reasonably priced for the area and this one was excellent value. The area was safe, the amenities were good for a 3 star hotel, the hotel was clean and well-managed. The room appeared to be upgraded so no complaints. Pool and hot tub worked well and appeared to be... More

My travel agent booked this hotel for me as the Summer prices at my usual hotel were sky high. I was really sad after reading the reviews that I was staying at the Hotel Aria. I arrived in the evening and was a bit skeptical of the property. The two front desk clerks were fantastic! I was put in the... More

I understand that this hotel may be lower priced than other hotels in the area, but there's a reason for that. The whole place needs to be updated - hallways, lobby, especially the rooms. I heard that some of the rooms may have been updated, but not mine. I was immediately brought back to my childhood. If you ever wonder... More

So, agreed, its not a Sheraton or a Hilton or a Shangri-La. Yes, it needs a fair bit of TLC and updating ( the room TV's in particular are DIRE). My room even had a ripped net curtain and for the price I paid I had expected better until I saw the prices at the other places :-). However, it... More

I was on a business trip and my hotel was overbooked so they put me up in the Hotel Aria. It was late when I arrived. I didn't pay for the night but the amount on the "letter" from the other hotel was $359 for the night so a bit pricey but that was probably closer to a rack rate.... More

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. "Nice" hotels in the area are outrageously expensive -- $500 per night. Then there are "discount" hotels, most of which are junk (check out my review of Best Western in Menlo Park). This hotel was very reasonably priced, was recently remodeled and clean. Like most of the hotels, it is right on... More
