Hotels in Mountain View are expensive, and I've stayed in quite a few of them for work. This was my first time at Zico, for an extended stay of a couple of weeks, and for the price point I think Zico was actually pretty good. No thrills (except for the random bocce court), pretty basic, but friendly and convenient. It's... More

For being a last-minute choice, Hotel Zico was a good decision. Having family in neighboring Los Altos, Mountain View is a good choice for a nearby city. No pool, but a very good breakfast including hot selections is available...just don't go too close to the end of the offering time, as food runs out. The coffee is excellent, and the... More

My coworkers and I had to book rooms slightly last-minute for a conference in Palo Alto. Being from HI we're used to high room rates but were surprised at the rates of Palo Alto, Mountain View and nearby areas. Since this was a work conference and wanted to keep travel expenses low, we ended up booking at Hotel Zico more... More

This is a nice little non-chain place. The price was right, the rooms were clean. Just a little quirky decor but that was fun! Best part is the breakfast service including made for you omelets (with a smile). Free internet, lots of parking. No bar or restaurant (just breakfast service).

First issue was we had 4 different spiders in our room less than 16 hours being there. One actually went acrossed my daughters food when we were trying to eat. Second is the room on the first floor is much smaller than what we expected. Third, the set up is NOT worth the price. They really need to update to... More

Spent one night in this hotel. No major flaws but not worth the money (roughly US$250). No bar of restaurant and since it's four blocks from the centre of Mountain View, you have to drive if you want food or drinks.  Pros Big room Plenty of parking Friendly service  Cons Location: Too far from anything  Old, noisy AC unit No... The good: - There is an In-and-Out fast food restaurant, a Walgreen and a petrol station across the just 5min from the hotel. - The room that I stayed do not have the highway noise reported by many reviewers. - Breakfast was good, free internet was stable. - Ample of free parking spaces. The bad: - Nothing much bad to... More

It is a little boutique hotel, not a chain. Really, it's your average hotel. However, it is so well decorated with attention to detail that it's pretty great. The decor doesn't feel like $100 room. The beds are comfy with soft & hard pillow. Little things like eye covers & fountain sink just make it nice. Breakfast, again average hotel... More

This is an older hotel that is not a cookie cutter chain and a lovely place to stay. The entrance and landscaping provides a nice California welcome. The rooms have been nicely redecorated and fairly comfortable if a bit small. All amenities for a four star are provided. The hotel is conveniently located across from shopping and restaurants and next... More

This is another of the many older renovated hotels along El Camino Real. This one was a little weirder than the rest. It was pretty clean, but the freeway location (no walking to restaurants etc), funky patio doors in the rooms and bed linens / towels that were not so nice made the overall stay disappointing. I won't be back.
