I have stayed here probably about a 1/2 dozen times over the last few years while visiting the Ames Research Center for work. It is a clean and quiet hotel. Its location can't be beat as it is just across the highway from Ames and only ~5 minutes away at most. In addition it is very close to the Castro... More

The room was a suite, but there was a wall that didn't go all the way to the ceiling, so it wasn't really a completely separate room. The ventilation wasn't very good. It was nice to have the extra space nonetheless. It had those hangers that aren't real hangers. I hate those. Breakfast was included, but it wasn't really edible.... More

I guess I was under the impression that the Quality Inn at Ames was not a very nice place, so I had never stayed there for any of my previous sojourns to NASA Ames. I usually opted to stay in San Jose or Santa Clara, which are a bit further away. However, on this last trip I could not find... More

This is a perfectly adequate, budget business hotel - great location just off 101 with good proximity to Mountain View entities such as Google and NASA. Straight and easy shot to and from SFO. Good jumping off point to other locations in Silicon Valley. But it seriously lacks amenities. Not only no bar or restaurant, but no walkable options nearby... More

Very friendly staffs. Breakfast with 4 hot selections, including bacon/sausage, fried egg, biscuit, and something I never caught. We stayed in King suite, TV's in both living room and bedroom are big. The pillows are of extra small size, more of a cushion. Elevator goes to garage, no luggage hassles. The only complaint is the smell in the hall way.... More

The king room is rather small in comparison to other hotels I stayed in the US. There is complimentary breakfast served but limited variety. There is a mexican restaurant just round the corner but it was closed when I got there late at night. See the attached room photos.

It's not often when I enter a chain motel room and say "wow". I booked a king suite for a few dollars more and was surprised by how large it was. If you're in for just a night it might not be worth it but for 2 or more nights go for it! The first room has a sink, fridge,... More

Sure the location is sketchy and the breakfast is sub-par, but I really liked my room. It was divided into a sitting area and a bedroom area which is perfect for me when traveling - I don't have to sit on the bed all night.

What it is, like virtually every other hotel in this city, is a hotel for business travelers. Function over frill. That said, it functions well as such. And the price was very affordable considering there was a concert in town. We got a suite here, for a concert (and it's VERY close to the venue), thinking it'd be a little... More

We stopped for a night at this hotel because our first choices were taken. It was a bit difficult to find but once we got settled it was a super room and very clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was just the usual but we enjoyed our stay in comfort. A bit pricey compared to other great hotels... More
