HI, We stayed in FEB 09 for a ski trip. I was sooo happy to find a room that accomodated us and our 3 teens plus another teen guest of ours. We got the 2 bedroom in the corner. It was really nice! I was very excited. You walk in into an entryway area, where theres a bench and coat... more

We found this property to be everything we expected, the rooms were recently refurbished and clean. A little on the small side but quaint, small refridgerater and microwave were a plus. Close walk to town. Jean at the front desk was very friendly and informitave. We would definitely stay there again. more

My wife and I spent one night there as part of a trip through northern California to southern Oregon. We had the cheapest room. It is the smallest room we had on the whole trip, including Econolodge and Ramada Inn Express. The location is directly on the main road and a good number of freight trains passed over the tracks... more

Having visited Mt. Shasta several times, I have had the opportunity to stay at six different hotels in town, including the priciest one with the pool and sauna. While staff at all locations were very pleasant and helpful, the levels of service and conditions/amenities of accommodations vary significantly for properties in the same price range. Of the six locations, Cold... more

I reserved this inn back in May for my upcoming trip in August. The person (old man) who I spoke with sounded like some sort of drunk. I requested 3 rooms for 3 nights, but I had to repeat it more than several times to make sure with him. Three months later, the day before the trip, inn keeper (woman)... more

After seeing a photo and prior to arriving, my friend and I lovingly referred to the inn as the 'bates motel'. To our surprise and delight, it was very quaint! True to the photo on the website, Mt Shasta looms behind the motel/inn. Because they don't have many two-bed rooms, we were stuck sharing and the inn was full. The... more

I was lucky to get a room for the 4th of July weekend, but it needed some repairs. The room had ants which were especially noticeable in the bathroom. There were ant bait stations throughout the room, under tables and against walls. The bathroom floor was so warped and raised that the door would not close. This was a problem... more

We were just passing through, so wanted basic but comfortable. Found everything we needed and it was very clean. Only thing we didn't like was that our non-smoking room smelled like deeply-imbedded smoke, which we couldn't air out completely. Though it was from the small bathroom window, the view of Mt. Shasta was inspiring. more

My family of four stayed in a two bedroom, three queen-bed suite for four nights while skiing at Mt Shasta. The rates were surprisingly reasonable--we had everything we could want including high speed internet. The beds were more comfortable than any place we've stayed in the past. It's obvious that the owner/manager takes pride in the accommodations as the rooms... more

I needed a place to stay prior to climbing Mt Shasta. My first reaction when I saw this motel from the road was to turn back. But the staff and the room were very nice. I sleep with an open window so I heard the whistle from the UP as it continuely chugged thru town. The staff are knowledgable about... more
