This place was recommended to me by a local friend , The staff are friendly and attentive . I love this lodge ! They have Horseshoes, a Hot Tub , A Sauna ! The room that I was in was great ! Vaulted Wooden ceiling was beautiful , The room had an amazing view of Mt Shasta. There are no... More

There's something nostalgic about this motel, which is what drew us in when we were looking for a place to stay in Mt. Shasta. I only had $80 for a room, which got us a king bed for the night. The room was good enough, at least for our family of minimal expectations. The tube TV was mounted on a... More

For $110 / night you'd at least expect the air conditioning ( in August ) to cool room below outside temperature, not the case, our noisy air conditioner plus a fan did nothing to cool us down, all it did was disturb our rest. There was food left over from the previous guests in the refrigerator, and no amenities to... More

We are very sorry that the air conditioner did not work as expected. The cleaning crew did report that the unit was set on heat mode and not cooling mode. More

An inexpensive hotel that met my needs for a clean, quiet place to stay. It is an older motel in need of a little TLC but it was fine. I enjoy running so I could easily walk or run to town. There is a gym next door as well as a Thai restaurant nearby.

This hotel has the benefit of not being near the freeway, which means no noise. Parking is easy. Beds are fine. But this is mostly a one night hotel while driving north or south. The carpets are worn, there is a lamp hanging from the ceiling that waves wildly if the A/C is on and cleaning is less than good.... More

We shopped around for a nothing fancy motel in Mt. Shasta and settled on Finlandia because we saw on another site that they have a nice cat. For those of us who sometimes travel pet-deprived, it is comforting to have a temporary animal. We knew we made the right choice when we drove in the parking lot and said cat,... More

No A/C in July.... room smells bad. Flooring so old it sticks to your feet even after being cleaned. I don't care how affordable this place is, it's better to camp. And i don't even like to stay in luxe hotels...I prefer mom & pop places for xharacter

We are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay. The other units do have A/C and we would have made every effort to move you if we would have known. We are taking your comment about the kitchen floor seriously and intend to replace it soon. We are a family owned, mom and pop business, and do try to... More

The room we had all though old was clean and quit. The Staff was extremely friendly. Little disapointed that office did not open til 4pm check in time, but once we got in the room everything was good. Relaxed in the hot tub and then booked the Sauna for an Hour and were so relaxed after that we slept like... More

We stayed here several years ago and for one night on a budget we thought it OK and decided to stay here again but sadly it's now a motel that has seen better days. On the plus side at least the room was large and the bed linen and bathroom was clean. Most of the fittings were old and very... More

In one of the rooms where you could have a dog, though the sheets were clean, and they gave me an extra sheet to top the bed spread so my dog could sleep on it, the room was so worn that it was depressing: torn and blackened-spotted carpet, dark lighting, decor 30 years old. Cheap but not cheap enough. The... More
