The service was quite good. We dealt with three employees and all were friendly and helpful...the man that checked us in, another that was working there with him and the lady in the kitchen in the morning. Nice folks. The rooms are not the newest. The heater was very slow in getting the room to a comfortable temperature. No counter... more

A complete and total disappointment ! Told by the front desk clerk that the property had been "totally refurbished" we were met by ants in the bathroom, torn upholstery, stained carpets, peeling wallpaper, dirty windowsills, molding falling off the tub/shower, no wi-fi despite the ads promoting it, and a noisy heater that kept us up all night. When we complained... more

Our property has been completely renovated inside and out! Our rooms have all been renovated completely from the bathrooms to the beds! Our breakfast in the morning features hard boiled eggs, waffles, fresh-baked muffins every morning, a variety of hot and cold cereals, english muffins, bagels, applesauce, yogert, cottage cheese, a variety of juices, coffee (yes, including decaf), tea and...

I will never stay at this place again. Not only were the staff extremely rude, one girl even sat outside in the parking lot blaring her car stero's bass during her lunch break. The place wasn't that large so it rattled the doors of the rooms. I also would not call this place a "Bed and Breakfast." The breakfast was... more

I apologize that your stay did not meet your standards. We are under new management, and I am sure you would enjoy your stay here! Our rooms have all been remodled recently, and our breakfast is expansive! We also have complimentary wine and cheese hour every evening! Come stay with us, you won't regret it!

Wonderful!

We stayed here about 10 years ago and loved it but had some hesitation after reading a few bad reviews. I have learned that people on the internet love to complain more than they love to praise. There are new owners and the hotel and rooms have been recently updated and are beautifully done. Quaint, clean and nicely equipped with... more

I went up to Mt. Shasta for a day just to enjoy it myself, since I love Shasta. Years before (before we had kids) my husband and I used to go to Shasta a lot, but we would often camp. We had stayed once in a hotel, in the Best Western, and that was decent; what you would expect for... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Strawberry Valley Inn. Our suite was clean and comfortable. The resident manager, Jerry was friendly and easy to talk to. We enjoyed our simple breakfast in the main stone house. The setting was cozy and warm. It was nice to have breakfast by the fireplace.... more

The Strawberry Valley Inn main building reminds us of an old English cottage. We were greeted by the personable and friendly resident manager Jerry as well as the staff. The simple breakfast served in a delightful bright dining room next to the cozy fireplace felt nourishing and revitalizing. We were pleased with how clean and comfortable our suite was. We... more

We drove through Mt. Shasta just to get something to eat and then were attracted to this inn because of the old stone house that is the office and breakfast area. I certainly wouldn't call this a B&B because the breakfast is a continental one. Most of the rooms are part a an L-shaped motel like the old days where... more

We had stayed there a few years ago and it was nice - the grounds beautiful, the hospitality (living room) was nice and wine was served. This time was a huge disappointment. When we arrived at the check-in desk, we could smell something unpleasant - it was the hospitality room. The landscaping was neglected. We moved our things into our... more

We phoned two weeks in advance to reserve a single room with queen bed at what was described as a 3 star motel with beautifully landscaped grounds. When we arrived, we paid our $121 and then were directed to our room, two blocks away at a place called "Strawberry Court." It was getting late and we had a long drive... more
