Stayed just one night while passing through... Looking for a family oriented hotel with a pool for the kids to burn off some steam. It was reasonably priced, the facilities immaculate and well cared for by a family owners. The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The grounds had picnic tables and BBQ grills. Continental breakfast was... More

Swiss Lodge has, by far and away, the best outside space for dogs, maybe in the world. There is an enormous green mowed green space with apple trees and hammocks. It looks idyllic. If your dog will be staying there alone, perfect. It's an older property-probably built in the 1960's. My impression is the current owner is trying to revive... More

This motel is okay. The staff is super friendly and they welcome dogs. There is a big open grassy area for pets to roam, and a gorgeous/breath taking view of Mount Shasta from your room. But, rooms are small and walls are thin. The hotel seems to be starting to update in the bathrooms... The location is right off the... More

I was in town for my daughters basketball tournament and stayed here after reading reviews of all the hotels in the area in my price range. The room was old. 22in box TV, old chain pull lights, terrible water pressure, too much old oversized furniture stuffed into the tiny room and we had to pull the dresser back to plug... More

Visiting family. Found this old lodge remodel. Clean and friendly. Small room so great for a stop over. On old highway not far from interstate so quiet for a good sleep. Small frig and microwave. Bring your own hairdryer.

We travel from Oregon to Bay Area frequently and often stay at hotels and motels along the way. The Swiss Holiday Lodge was a pleasant surprise because it's affordable, well maintained, and has easy access to the freeway. I'd guess that the Inn was built in the 1960ies or early 70ies, which is to say, it's not new. It is... More

We stayed 2 nites in 2 different rooms. One with 3 double beds. That room had views of Mt. Shasta. The bathroom seemed completely renovated. Nice. The furniture were old and very used. Small TV, but it worked. Wifi worked!! It was clean. The 2nd nite we stayed in their Suite. The kitchen can use some TLC and scrubbing, especially... More

Came here to relax and take in Mt. Shasta and the surrounding area. This place is the best possible motel to stay in if you want friendly service, tasty breakfast (dry cereals, soy/reg milk, hot bevs, fresh fruit, bear claws, eggs - plenty of vegan-ish options), remodeled bathroom, clean room, all the basics for healthy, budget conscious travel (fridge, microwave,... When you pay $95 for a room you cannot expect perfection. For a motel in this price range Swiss Lodge met or exceeded expectations. Free wifi worked well even in pool area. Rooms were clean and had some upgrades in the bathroom with new tiles. Nice feature is that rooms have a window both ends and you can see Mt... More

The hotel was easily accessible off the highway and a few minutes outside of Mount Shasta. Check in and out was painless. Staff did not seem as knowledgable as expected about things to do in the area. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The room was clean but could use upgrades on linens. If you are in mount shasta in the... More
